Eddie and Patsy selling Saffy for human slavery was too cruel and heartless, even for laughs

The only reason Saffy wasn't mad at Eddie was because she didn't know Patsy had sold her and Eddie knew about it. I know this was a sitcom but part of me felt it was too much of a stretch.

As much of a bad mother as Eddie was, she did love Saffy. She just was too immature to be a proper mom (not helped by the fact Gran was a awful mother who never removed her gloves to touch her and kept reminding Eddie how fat and unlovable she was).

What quotes from the show do you use in every day life and in what contexts?

Even after all these years, if I'm going for a bath and collecting all my products I still say "Wash & Go, sandpaper exfoliant, cellulite breakdown, term & perm, autobronzer and birch twigs... shall I have soap? Nooo".

Jacks (Kate O'Mara) - "Marlene and Judy rolled into one": Do you wish we had seen more of her?

One of my favorite episodes of Ab Fab is New Year's Eve and strictly because of the iconic Jacks. Every word out of her mouth became gay lexicon for me. Kate O'Mara played it to the hilt. She was so much fun. I wish she had come back more often.

"Too Late to Flush Her Now"...."She was DEAD??!!"...."Another one who's ballooned"

Why was Saffy still playing the long suffering daughter shtick in her 20s and 30s in the later seasons?

The problem with Saffy is that while she did have a point in the early seasons, her refusal to leave the house and live on her own does mean Julia Salwahla might have been correct in her assessment of Saffy, that she enjoyed the comfort of living off her mother.

Look up the Season 3 finale, she couldn't adapt to living at the college campus. After you reach adulthood, you can't keep on blaming your mother for everything that goes wrong in your life.
