I have facial dysmorphia so the first thing I do whenever I start a new game with character customisation is try to my myself to get a better idea of what I look like! Wanted to share because I think i got it quite accurate this time haha

Currently going through a resident evil phase as well as a DTI phase so this was inevitable . Didn't know where to share so I figured I'd post them here!
a bit of context, my icons started doing this after i did a factory reset and restore on my laptop. i had to reinstall steam, and when i booted up my D drive, all of the icons for my installed games were gone, including one icon for a game on my C drive (C drive games are at the top and are mostly unaffected).
i thought it was a simple fix at first, my assumption was if i uninstalled and reinstalled the game files through steam, the icons would be restored. but ive tried that several times with several games and it just hasnt worked. manually adding shortcuts through steam also just adds them without icons.
my next idea was to just import an .ico file of the games icon and manually restore each one myself, however the icons would only show up for a little while, and then turn into the blue globe icon next time i opened my laptop.
ive checked the icon folder for steam and the icons are there, theyre just not appearing. it doesnt seem like just a steam problem as ive seen a few small threads saying theyve had similar issues after doing dell recovery, so i figured i'd ask here. it's also confusing because some icons do work, but i dont know why. its not a massive deal but it is annoying, so if anyone has dealt with this or knows of a way to fix it (that i havent already tried) i would really appreciate any help!
