nursing home changed the entire schedule so that night shift will only have one person
for the past 2 or so months i've been working night shift as a new CNA at a nursing home and for that duration two nights in a row i'd be alone then two nights i'd have someone else with me on my hall. then they changed it after a meeting for i think "complaints" or some other reason and the entire schedule got remade so that there would only be one person a hall a night. the hall i work is one of the heaviest halls in the nursing home. there are 25 residents on my hall, 18 of which i need to change each round and most of them are heavier wetters and need full bed changes. my rounds end up taking about 2 hours at the very least. this isn't specifically a horrible thing to me because i can definitely do it and i've been getting better and better recently but every other shift has two people per hall. it was nice for my latter two shifts being able to split my hall and relax a tiny bit more. is this a dumb decision on my workplaces part or is this fairly normal?
No music or voices in modded Skyrim, please help me I'm going to lose my mind
For the past few hours I've been trying to get the audio to work for Skyrim. I've tried:
Proton-GE
Installed xact with protontricks
Installed faudio
Nothing has worked
I don't know what I'm doing wrong I've done all the common things I've seen if I can't solve this I'm going to personally find Todd Howard and jump him
"No no it's a GOOD thing products are locked behind cases!"
How to keep myself from being lazy?
I started my first CNA job a few weeks ago and I feel like I'm starting to cut corners and be a bit more sloppy. I'll skip changing residents I feel like don't need to be changed yet without checking, I'll ignore doing my charting, things like that. I have ADHD and even with my meds it's hard to keep myself in check. I am working on rectifying my behavior because I want to be a good CNA and I really need this job. Do y'all have any tips specific to being a CNA that helps y'all keep yourself in check and not be lazy?
My friend and I (not jewish) want to do a jewish playthrough of Dark Souls 2, and I wanna check to make sure we're not being offensive
The general gist of it is looking at the 613 Mitzvot and picking different commandments we think would be applicable to the game. For example, 64: Not to attempt to engage the dead in conversation. In Dark Souls 2 some NPCs appear to be like zombies, so for the run we wouldn't be able to talk to them
Mainly posting to ask if this general idea would be offensive? Obviously yeah the humor of the gimmick does come from the fact we're loosely making rules based off of Judiasm but we're not trying to make fun of Judiasm and more wanna see how the game would go if we played by the interpreted rules
We're not going to record it or post it anywhere, it's just a thing we thought would be fun. If this is considered offensive, we won't do it.
edit: thank you all so much for the nice replies!! i'll get around to truly ironing out the rules for the run at some point. i didn't think this would be an offensive thing, but i just wanted to make sure. thank you all again!!
i know everyone hates the traffic and it's been done to death but jesus christ
i frequently drive from seguin to new braunfels to see my girlfriend and i just don't understand how there's so much traffic. yeah growing town and all but it never feels like there's enough people to justify the amount of bullshit i gotta put up with just to drive over. there's some stretches of road i don't think i've ever gotten to go the speed limit on
i'm aware im just beating a dead horse but i just wanna complain about the cumulative hour i spend driving each time i see my girlfriend that i'll never get back because people want san antonio without actually being in san antonio
Started my first job as an overnight CNA, I'm really starting to like it
I recently got my CNA license earlier in May and finally secured an overnight position at a nursing home in my town. I was anxious about the work and if I'd even enjoy it, but I'm on my third shift and I'm coming to really really enjoy it
This is my first job that's not related to customer service in any way and I'm shifting my thinking more to just the fact my job is just taking care of people and it's helping me begin to like it
The little interactions with residents whenever I get them a snack or just turn off a light or change a brief really makes it worth it
I know that pretty much no one living here really would choose to be here, and I want to do everything I can to help them be as comfortable as possible for as long as they're here. I'm happy this is what I get to do
I doubt I'll stick in the medical field later down the line, but I'm happy that I'm starting to like what I'm doing. It won't always be like this but knowing that I can enjoy my work helps
