I just replaced the factory tires on my gen 2 and my mpg has dropped from 52.5 to 48.5. New tires are shinko 705.
I’m not very experienced with tire changes on this bike but followed the dave moss video.
I’m not sure what all could cause this outside of something I did wrong.
Got a bit of cruising time in yesterday after a very early morning start. We are supposed to have great weather for a week so I’ll probably be using her for commuting this week as well.
Maybe it’s just time of year, coming into riding season in the PNW, but used bikes on marketplace seem very ambitious. I saw a 2006 Vstrom for like 5.5k. That’s more than half of a new bike.
It’s been a while since I bought a bike. But I don’t remember the depreciation line being so much of a gentle downhill slope.
