ET-2800 Stuck on Wavy Blue Screen

I moved a couple months ago and finally got around to setting up my ET-2800 printer. Immediately it wouldn’t turn on. I was able to get it on by plugging it in and holding the power button simultaneously but it has been stuck on this wavy screen. Google seems to indicate this may be a firmware problem but it’s been powered off in a box, there’s been no opportunity for it to get an update. Neither my Linux or Windows computers can see it via USB.

Would love any trouble shooting suggestions.

Inherited a 10” telescope—where to start?

My dad gave me his 10” Meade LX200GPS (circa 2004) this weekend, along with some assorted astronomy accoutrements, in particular a 3.5” Celestron, some filters, a ton of Meade eyepieces and a Meade CCD.

I got my bachelors in astrophysics so I have some experience with operating a small (6” probably) telescope manually and a 30” via computer, as well as processing CCD images. However, it’s been a few years and I wasn’t responsible for the maintenance and calibration of that equipment.

I doubt this the telescope has been used in the last 10 years and likely not the past 20. Unfortunately my dad had a stroke recently and isn’t able to have any sort of technical discussion. Luckily he appears to have saved all of the owner manuals and specs sheets except for the CCD, which also doesn’t have a serial number frustratingly.

I’m obviously excited but feeling pretty overwhelmed on where to start, and what type of projects this telescope is good for (and where on earth to put it in my apartment…). Would welcome any and all advice.

EDIT: Thanks everyone for the advice. I think my current plan is to email my local astronomy club, inventory everything, learn more about collimation on this scope, and then get some practice setting everything up indoors with the lights on (and read the manuals ofc).

Read Only Mailbox in App?

My father had a stroke last week and is recovering but is still significantly impaired. He has been very stressed about his work email—he runs a solo law practice—and has been extremely insistent on getting his email back on his iPad (once we reset it since he can’t remember the pin).

I’m inclined to do that because he will keep worrying until he can check it himself but I am worried about him potentially replying to people in a legal capacity while he is cognitively impaired. Is there any way to change his account so it’s read only in the app?
Or limit the ability to send mail to external organizations or something similar?

It’s a Microsoft 365 business account and I have access to the organization admin settings. Unfortunately he isn’t really able to use a laptop right now.

What hardware does this frame need?

I have an old wooden frame that’s missing the hardware to secure the glass and artwork.

The inner frame has two grooves and the glass-poster-cardboard assembly is almost exactly the height of the first groove. Clearly some hardware is intended to be slotted in the groove to fix everything in place but I haven’t been able to figure out what I need to buy—any suggestions appreciated
