I got a notice that my eBay was permanently suspended. It was a generic "Your eBay account has been suspended because recent account activity has raised security concerns". There's also "MC999 SUSPENSION: Safety and Security". The last time I used the account was 6 month ago to purchase a $30 item. I'm not sure what this "recent account activity" is. I login and buy something maybe twice a year, nothing more than $50. The account is more than 25 years old and the last time I sold something is probably 10 to 15 years ago.

I was able to talk to a customer service person who confirmed the account was suspended. He basically repeated verbatim what the email said and then abruptly hung up.

My initial thought was that my account was hacked, but I haven't received any notices of logins on new devices. Is this common? Was my account really hacked or is there some mystery reason why eBay bans people?

Edit: Oh man, looks like I'm late to the game here. Searching through the posts in this sub I see that random suspensions is common.

I enabled data waster for both Dark Star and Warp. Running Fast I only get maybe 5 Mbps while Speedtest is much faster. Turning on my VPN and running Fast I get full speed.

I've rebooted the phone and toggle the eSIM off then on.

Edit: After reading /r/USMobile/comments/1t1ynq0/permanent_data_waster_mode/ojk8jtm/ maybe 5 Mbps is their idea data waster. Like it still throttles but just throttles less?

Edit 2: Comments below are correct. Dark Star data waster doesn't throttle. For some reason its enablement was delayed.
