AM Struggles

Hey everyone,

I’ve been in the AM circle for about two years now and it’s been pretty slow going, literally just a handful of matches, with most rejections happening right at the profile stage.

I’m trying to figure out what’s actually going wrong here. The most obvious thing in my photos is that I have a shaved/bald head. Is hair loss really that much of a dealbreaker for girls and families in our community, or am I overthinking it and missing some other obvious reason?

Maybe that Im in Hyderabad?

For context, my profile is fairly standard on paper Tier-1 education, working in Product Management, active/into fitness, and quite flexible with preferences.

Would love some honest feedback:

How much does hair actually matter during initial profile screening?

If it’s not just the hair, what are other silent rejections that happen at the profile level (photo quality, horoscope filters at the parent level, bio data)?

For any guys in the same boat who shaved their head, did changing how you presented your photos make any difference?

Appreciate any candid inputs. Thanks!

I am a 31 year old guy and currently working as a Product Manager in Hyderabad. I make around 35 LPA. I grew up in Delhi and did my B.Tech at VIT and MBA at IIMT, so I have lived in a few different cities and am pretty adaptable.

I am 176 cm. I stay very active, I run quite a bit and hit the gym regularly. I am a vegetarian and a big foodie. I am generally soft-spoken and organized. I value honesty and being direct.

I'm bald by choice.

I am looking for someone independent, ambitious, and mature. I want a partner who feels like a teammate, someone to travel with but also someone who appreciates a simple daily routine.

I come from a nuclear family settled in Delhi. Parents are retired government officers and I have a younger brother. We are a progressive family with a modern outlook.

Nietzsche advice on marriage...

from aphorism 406 of Human, All Too Human (1878)

Marriage as a long conversation. When entering a marriage, one should ask the question: do you think you will be able to have good conversations with this woman right into old age? Everything else in marriage is transitory, but most of the time in interaction is spent in conversation.
