Passed my drivers test!

Instead of getting my license on my 16th birthday like many people do, I spent it in recovery from my second strabismus surgery, which had complications that would give me intermittent double vision and ruin any chance I had at working depth perception.

I’m now 23 and I’ve been terrified of driving ever since, but I spent the last year facing my fears and learning. Today I passed the test on my first try! (Barely, though.) Living in a car-centric area, my world has just gotten so much more accessible.

If you are in the same situation or just considering learning to drive, take it slow! I took much longer than the average person to become even somewhat comfortable on the road. I probably won’t drive independently for a while. But it’s so worth it, even if it’s scary!!!

Where would Graf go in a 2021 redraft?

Grateful every day for our undrafted PK king, but where would you put him compared to the rest of the 2021 draft class?

Keep in mind he’s just 6 days younger than the 2020 draft cutoff, so he’s an older player.

Moving centers to the wing

As someone who’s never played hockey I am curious about the technical aspect of when centers play on someone else’s wing, or vice versa (although I feel like I don’t see the opposite really happen—why is that?).

I am curious about how and why centers are more versatile in this way. In our case, with Smith playing wing all year, Celebrini on McDavid’s wing during the Olympics, and then him centering Crosby at worlds, can someone explain why centers specifically are able to do this?

What to do with a shipping tube over the weekend?

My mom is a teacher and ordered ants for her classroom. They were supposed to arrive yesterday but did not show up until today, Friday afternoon. Tracking updates show they were shipped on Monday. The farm/habitat is in her classroom, which she won’t have access to until Monday.

Almost all of the ants are alive right now, but will many die if we keep them in the tube over the weekend? Should we add food/water to the tube, or cool them down and transfer them to a Tupperware with an apple slice or something?

Looking for the best course of action that will keep as many ants alive as possible and allow her to transfer them into the farm in three days. Thank you

A couple months ago at a Ducks vs Oilers game in Anaheim, I sat near a guy wearing a Sharks hat. It was white on black similarly to the one pictured here, but only the outline of the logo was embroidered; there was no white colored in.

Ever since I’ve been looking for a hat like that, since I’m a fan outside the bay. I want something subtle enough to wear to a non-Sharks hockey game, but still recognizable to other fans!

I’ve been scouring official retailers and secondhand sellers online, but if anyone else knows where to find one I’d appreciate the help!
