Academy PT testing and scoring

I run an academy in a large metro area. We are attempting to conduct an internal Fitness test during the course of the 18 week academy (every 4 weeks) and I was wondering if anyone out there in the interwebs does something similar?

My end goal is to make it part of their overall GPA/Class Rankings, and I'm planning on either using the Air Forces new AFPT (2 mile run, sit ups in a min, push ups in a minute) or the old Army one (same but with 2 minutes for push and sit)

My plan was to use the 18 - 22 age range standards.

Just wondering if anyone has anything similar in their academy, and if so if you ran up against any HR issues, any Union push back, or any increased injury rate?

Thanks in advance.

Tower of Jack

Go read it, seriously. It fills the gap that the absence of DCC between books leaves in some people, and are wonderfully written books. How this isn't recommended more around here is crazy to me.

The new one is out on audible, and I think you'll all enjoy it.

The infamous 2016 Oil 'Seep'

Well, it happened to me. I've read the threads, I've seen the videos, and I've heard the tales.

This being my third Tacoma I thought my loyalty and dedication to the mighty Tacoma would protect me from being struck by manufacture's issues.

I was wrong.

I took my girl in to get an oil change and they let me know there had been a small 'seep' that developed from the engine. I took it to the dealership and they quoted me 6K.... Six Thousand Dollars!!! To get the timing belt case gasket re-sealed. That's insane.

I'll give it to the tech though, he did say that it's a known issue, and with my mileage (150K), I should just roll with it, keep an eye on the oil, and that it shouldn't effect performance.

Saying that, after doing some research and talking to folks, it sounds like it's been a known problem for a few years (and generations?). With that said, does anyone on here have any long term data to support that it doesn't actually effect the lifespan of the vehicle? That it won't spiral into a bigger problem? And does the Permatex 'fix' actually work?

I love my truck, and just put a new Wanderfox topper and a new set of rims and tires on it. I'd rather not sale it (although there are some TRD Pros in the area for sale that look sweet), but there's no way I'm going to spend 6K on a problem that may pop back up. Especially if I can just keep an eye on it with no issue.

Thanks in advance. (and yes, I've read the threads, I just can't find anything that has 'long term' data from folks)

TL;DR: my 2016 Tacoma is leaking oil from the timing belt case and I want to hear if someone has actually lived with it for a long time with no issues.
