Ich überlege meine Weiterbildung in der Strahlentherapie/Radonc zu machen und mache mir manchmal Gedanken darum, dass das Fach im Rahmen der Innovation in der med. Onko irgendwie untergeht.

Ich sehe natürlich, dass lokale Tumorkontrolle wichtig bleibt, nicht jeder fit genug für OPs ist, man sich die oligomet-Situation iwie mittels SBRT gesichert hat, es ja doch einige palliative Indikationen auch gibt und sich all diese Innovationen aus der med. Onkologie natürlich auch mit Bestrahlung kombinieren lassen.
Trotzdem bleibt für mich echt das Problem, dass eben die medizinische Onkologie viele vielversprechende Ergebnisse liefert und vor allem eine riesen Industrie hinter sich hat. Kein Fortschritt im Rahmen einer Radiotherapie würde so stark gefeiert und überhaupt so untersucht werden wie das millionengeschäft targeted therapy. Geld wird halt leider immer ein Motiv bleiben in dem Feld und macht natürlich zum Teil auch den Ruf der Strahlentherpeuten kaputt, weil das eben nicht so "laut" ist wie die ganzen Pharma Dinger.

Was sind eure Gedanken dazu?

I am thinking about pursuing a career in radiation oncology, but I am really torn because of the ongoing debate about the future of the field compared to medical oncology. I'd love to get some perspectives.

And its not that I dont know what the positive aspects of radonc are. Local treatment is crucial and always will be, people arent always able to undergo surgery bc of frailty, we have emerged in the field of oligomets, there still is the combination of both field in terms of CRT +/- IO ...

But I do see a threat in the field of medonc and the personalized therapy. Not only because the effects seem great but the money to be made from a pharmaceutical company will always be more than from technological advancements in radonc. So the question remains whether indications will shrink..

But I would like to add that I am from Germany and here radoncs do see patients in inpatient setting and are licensed to give chemotherapy and targeted/IO therapy (but this is mostly done by medoncs due to its timting in the consolodation setting).

We just bought a new IKEA LAGAN 60cm integrated dishwasher. The first run was fine but now the dishes dont come out clean and the tab compartment remains closed after the run so the tab remains undissolved. From what I noticed the dishes arent warm when they come out of the dishwasher so maybe the dishwashers heating function is broken? And the different cleaning programs dont really change anything and feel way shorter than Ikea states.

ich werde mir eine Küche für meine neue Wohnung kaufen müssen. Dafür hole ich mir jetzt Angebote bei z.B. Poco und Ikea ein. Ikea ist ja recht transparent mit den Montagekosten, wohingehen Poco das nicht ist..

Die haben ein Angebot, dass Lieferung und Montage (lt. Website) nur 99 Euro koste bei Wert ab 1999 Euro. Ich habe mir eine kleine Küche mit Geräten und Benefit-Rabatt für 1400 Euro zusammengestellt (ist nur 2.80 fertiger Block, billigste Geräte ohne Kühlschrank).Jetzt die Frage: Wisst ihr vielleicht wie die Kosten für Montage da berechnet werden außerhalb des Angebots?
