I really need some advice on how to talk to my Dad while he is in care in another country.
My Dad is in a rehab center in Europe after multiple strokes, he is paralyzed on his left side and can't leave. He calls me constantly asking to go home. He doesn't know that he can't go home and can't care for himself. My question is how do I talk to him about this? I've tried explaining that he needs to get better first, but he doesn't understand that there's anything wrong. He just gets increasingly more agitated and upset. Do I just lie and say soon? I have no idea how to deal with this. Especially being on the other side of the world and him being in a non English facility. Any advice greatly appreciated.
