Sony NW-WM1A popped up in mint condition partially boxed on Cash Converters. Snapped it up. Received today. What a beast. I’m keeping it stock. No mods. I think it sounds great. I’m using Truthear Hexas and some old Sony MDR-1R.

I was recently gifted a pair of Bb&W DM 603 S2 speakers. I have them powered by my Onkyo CRN755. Everything I read about these speakers says they are demanding and benefit from amps rated above 70watts. The Onkyo is rated at 22 watts. To my ears it sounds excellent but I should add I don’t play at loud volumes. I was running a pair of Wharfedale Diamond III’s so perhaps it just sounds better compared to that pairing. If I swapped to an Onkyo a-9010 would I be blown away? I know I would lose the connectivity that the CRN755 has but a WiiM mini would sort that.
