Rosie (7), has clearly been enjoying her long walk we went on yesterday!

Rosie loved her walk! She loves to roll around in grass when she’s happy. We are very fortunate where we live to have such stunning scenic walks near us. This video was captured near Ham Hill, Somerset, UK overlooking a luscious valley yesterday evening.

Lost my best mate Gus on Saturday ❤️‍🩹

Beautiful Gus passed away on Saturday 💧We had 16.5 years of him being a wee rascal and a sweetheart. I knew he was approaching the end of his wee life but I still can’t quite get my head around the reality of him not being here. It’s so tough - it’s painful. But Gus did so well, he was such a tough, courageous, and loving wee nugget. Just wanted to share here because i know you all get it 🥲 Border terriers are the best. Sending love to all your wee pups - the ones here and the ones who have passed (who i like to think are having lots of fun in their next wee life & who are here in spirit ✨) 💚🐾🌻

Overshot Jaw

Hello! Does anyone here have any experience of a Border with a slightly overshot jaw?

Getting our little man in 2 weeks time and the breeder has got in contact saying that the vet says the “puppy is healthy but has a slightly overshot jaw which may correct itself naturally over time”. They’re taking him for another check in 2 weeks (he’ll be 8 weeks old), naturally he’s the only pup in the litter with an issue

So anyone else have this happen?

Naturally had to be the most adorable loving pup in the litter, who came over and started playing with us when we went to see them…

My perfect Fudge

I lost my perfect boy, Fudge, a couple of weeks ago. He was 13, he loved eating the bottom of our ice cream cones, barking at the postman, snuggling on a pillow and destroying teddy bears. I never thought my mum would let us get a dog, so bringing him home when I was 12 years old still feels like a dream. I miss him so deeply - he helped me through some really tough times. I’m even wearing a tshirt with his face on right now (promise I’m not crazy!)

Thank you all for your lovely border content. I know the posts about loss can be hard to see but I do not regret a single second with him 💜

Does your border also insist on being as close to you as possible at all times?

If there is a lap available, she will sit in it.

Peggy-Sue Update!! Your prayers and well wishes worked!!

Surgery was a success. Peggy Sue came home yesterday. Her removed uterus weighed over 2lbs!! Peggy only weighs 15lbs. So my goodness. She has rested well. We have her in a kennel. She is in good spirits. very happy and now just need to get through the next 2 weeks of confinement. luckily she is such a princess the routine is nothing new 😆

Does my mutt dog resemble a BT?

It could be possible if my Astra could have some border terrier in her ancestry? In my opinion, her head appearance look similar to what if a border terrier had a short soft coat with an undercoat instead of wiry one and a "beard" that is common in many terriers.

She's a mutt so she could be a mix of much more.

I'm open for your suggestions, as I'm just simply curious.

Please note that I don't look for any DNA testing advice or somthg like that.

I'd like to mention that she is very energetic, agile and loves to play a rough tug a lot. May be a bit stubborn and picky but also very affectionate.

Introducing lill (5 month old) Haggis!

Likes: Tummy scratches, cucumbers, watermelon, and chasing birds

Dislikes: Cilantro, hair dryers, a single (clearly evil) trashcan in our apartment

Cassie’s sweet 16 birthday🎉🎂🥳🎈

And just like that, she was 16… She might be a little slow and wobbly now, but she’s just as loving, stubborn, funny and beautiful as she was the day she arrived. Always at our heels, always with an eye out for a treat, always over the moon when we come through the door. Our home would lose its heart without her. Happy Birthday, Cassie! 🎉🥳🎂🎁🎈

Is it true that border terriers should never be off leash?

I've been reading on the internet and most people say to keep a leash on them. Mine is super reactive, has anyone had success training theirs to be reliable off leash? If so, how did you do it?
