I know this may be fairly niche, but we’re looking for gymnastics lessons for our trans daughter (under 10). She took boys’ lessons previously before she came out. We’re just looking for recreational lessons at this point, nothing competitive. Any leads on a Philly gym that would be a good fit for her?
I’m a parent of an under-10 trans girl. We live in a very supportive, very blue area, and she’s largely been insulated from the national crap - but she will encounter anti-trans bigots and bastards as she gets older.
What’s the best way to introduce her to that concept? How do we help our kid understand that some adults are going to hate her because of who she is? What are the best approaches to helping her develop the skills to protect herself against those fuckers?

My daughter is under 10, and not anywhere near interested in dating yet. But it is coming! And I have difficulty wrapping my head around how she can identify and find boyfriends and/or girlfriends and/or enbyfriends who are open to a trans partner.
I’m thinking back to my own preteen and teen years and how horrid dating was back then … I really can’t imagine how tough it must be for trans kids today.
Any advice or stories to share?
I’m curious about sleeping arrangements for families of boy/girl twins who’ve gone to Cub resident camp and slept in the traditional canvas wall tents. Have you just crammed in a third cot in the middle? Brought a smaller tent for the adult? Just brought a large family tent and used that? Any advice is welcome!
