Saw some people saying the vibe was a lot different as of late, with more black women and just overall more friendly atmosphere. I wanted to see for myself. If they really have changed, I don't want to let a space like that just die. Opinions?
Today, the Philadelphia Historical Commission unanimously voted to add "We The Youth," the 1987 mural by Keith Haring (and school children from both NYC and Philly), to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places. This means that the Historical Commission must approve before any changes to the appearance of the mural are made. The nomination for the mural has a lot of cool history about it and Keith Haring. It's the only outdoor mural on the register!

Me and my BF are going to Atlantic City tomorrow via train, so we have to transfer at Philadelphia 30th street station to the AC NJ Transit line. Because of the limited train schedule, we're set to return to Philadelphia station over an hour before our Amtrak train back home, and we're taking the Palmetto which is coming up from Florida so there's a chance it may be delayed even more.
If we have over an hour to kill, any suggestions on nearby gay bars or hot spots we can check out for a bit? Quick Google search doesn't show anything within walking distance but we don't mind a quick Uber.
