So I've been here for a little bit and wondered, I know there's explicitly a Trans Philadelphia server (the mods suck), and others are dead as doornails. but is there one for just all queer folks of Philly or is it just this reddit? And if so how many people would be interested in a Discord server cuz I want a space for all of us to co-exist.
There is a new (?) organization I've found based in Philly called Just Right, and I'm curious about anyone's experience with that group or any insights to share. It is organized to bring together 35+ bi and lesbian cis-gender women.
Hello!
This will be a bit long, but tl;dr is more or less that I’m a creative and outgoing guy looking to leave suburbia for city life and I’m tired of waiting for a job to grant me permission to move. People make it work and I want to be one of them. I have some savings and a hunger for something dynamic, and figure Reddit has always served me well in connecting with like-minded people.
I’m open to renting a room, a studio, or an alternative living arrangement like artist co-housing as long as it’s stable, safe, and a place for growth.
For the last year or so there has been a little voice in my head urging me to move to Philadelphia. It started with small things like seeing Philly in shows/media constantly, to then hearing songs on my Spotify about the city.
I grew up in Northern Colorado in a smallish city, and outside of a brief stint in the south of France I have never lived in a walkable, mixed-use, public transit oriented city and I have absolutely reached my limits on car dependent urban sprawl where people are either at home, work, or the bar.
I know Philly isn’t a utopia, but it’s a big step up from where I’m at and from what I’ve read it has a great community of artists and makers.
So, I’m looking for a place to land that won’t break the bank while I find my footing. I have some savings but would love to not burn through them entirely. I know the job market is likely going through the same thing everywhere, but I think I’ll have much more luck if I’m already in the city rather than applying from across the country.
Picture of me below!
I know this isn’t the right place. But is there a good sub for gay hookups in Philly?
Any nudist or nude events in Philly? Any gay bars that allow nudity?
☀️🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🌳Inviting ALL queer hikers to meet us OUT on the trails for a 5-mile hike at Mount Misery! 🐕 Dogs on leash welcome. Kids able to keep pace welcome.
🚘 DIY rideshare - Need a ride? Offering a ride? Please comment how many seats and from where!
👋 We’ll head to Sly Fox Tap in Malvern for a post-hike social around 12:30pm. No need to have hiked if you just want to come by for some queer community!

I’m visiting Philly tomorrow and I’m seeing various things that say Bike Stop has a jockstrap night on Mondays. Is this legit? What does this usually look like? Is everyone just in a jock and nothing else? Is full nudity allowed?
I’ve been sober since January and I’m really proud of myself. I’ve worked really hard in therapy and I’ve obviously had my ups and downs and slip ups but I haven’t beaten myself up over it, I’ve just held myself accountable and gotten back up and kept on keeping on.
I’ve recently been struggling more with my mental health and would like to go to an LGBTQ+ focused AA group to find more support and make some sober friends and to more importantly not want to drink my feelings. Do any of you all know of any groups or resources? I’ve tried to find some on the internet but it just turned into convoluted clicking link after link. I know of one in Rittenhouse but I can’t remember for the life of me where it’s held. Thank you all <3
I’m pretty new to Philly in the Rittenhouse area and would like to make some friends at a trans friendly bar, I’m kind of intimidated to go to a new bar by myself 😅 where would be the best place to go to meet new people?
Okay, so I plan on moving to Philly. I'm a DJ and heard the DJ scene in Philly is where it's at! It's just gonna be me and my baby girl, Willow (a 6-year-old cat). I DON'T have a car, nor do I plan on getting one. I wanna be around the young black creatives! I wanna be safe too. If not Germantown, where? I wanna be around young black folks!
Hello everyone,
I’m a 24 year old lgbtq AA girl who’s moving to Philly by December/ January. Anyone else doing the same thing? I am trying to learn as much as possible before I move there.
I know this may be fairly niche, but we’re looking for gymnastics lessons for our trans daughter (under 10). She took boys’ lessons previously before she came out. We’re just looking for recreational lessons at this point, nothing competitive. Any leads on a Philly gym that would be a good fit for her?
Hey folks! I'm so excited for my 4th year attending the Philly Naked Bike Ride. I'm 37 M, making the trip up from DC, and looking to connect with fellow riders.
I'm usually at the pre-ride meet up point painting riders, and I'm in town for the weekend. It'll be a lot of people, if you're keen to connect, and would enjoy having company, feel free to message!
I moved here 2 weeks ago and still can’t find a job. If anyone has leads on FOH positions for restaurants or barista jobs, that would be amazing, also want to at concert venue. Thank you 😍
Hi! I'm a 27y/o trans guy seeking a room ASAP to rent/sublet for 3 to 6 months! My GF and I are going on a break and decided I would move out of our apartment in Spruce Hill.
I need:
- queer/trans friendly roommates
- outside spruce hill neighborhood
- decently quiet 8:30-5
- access to public transit
I prefer:
- <$600/month
- south/southwest neighborhoods
- roommates mid-twenties and up
- non-smoking
- a bathtub(lol)
About me, I enjoy cooking, radio, organizing, karaoke, lifting, birding, biking. I work remote for a hospital so I would be spending a lot of time at home.
While I'd prefer not to live in west philly, I accept it may be tough to find something that fits my preferences outside it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
DM me if we seem like a match or if you have any leads!
Thanks!!

Hiiii, I’m Kate! I’m a Brooklyn comic hitting the road with my good pal Lee Robinson to do some gay comedy in the Northeast. Our first stop is Kingston on 5/21. Would love to see you at Unicorn Bar if watching two dykes do some very silly standup sounds fun to you! And there’s an open mic after the show so we can all do standup and become best friends and live happily ever after 🥹❤️ See you there!
