I’m currently preparing for OSPAP and planning to pursue my pharmacy career in Scotland. I’d really appreciate some insight from pharmacists or pre-registration/foundation trainees currently working in Scotland.

What would be the realistic salary and monthly take-home pay for:

• Pre-registration/Foundation Pharmacist

• Newly qualified Pharmacist

• Pharmacist with 2–5 years of experience

• Relief Pharmacist

I’m particularly interested in Scotland/Dundee, and would also like to know whether weekend locum rates of £40–£45/hour are realistic in this area.
