EXO Rally Championship is awesome. I only heard about it from seeing a reddit post, so I am passing on that favor. It is very fun. You can set it up with a wheel, a joystick, a wheel and a joystick, 3 joysticks, 5 joysticks, probably 4 joysticks and a pedal and a joystick too...

There is no telemetry output yet but the Dev is active and it could happen I think :)

Hi all,

I am new to BeamNG Drive and it is pretty cool. I started playing it hoping to use it as simulation training for IRL track days. The Assetto games are my go-to for this now, but I like the threat of realistic crashes, and I heard BeamNG has the best physics.

But the feel of the driving doesn't seem right to me. I have jumped in a lot of different cars and they all feel almost cartoonish in how they move. My Moza R5 FFB is good, I used some guides here to set it up, but the way the cars respond and behave is the issue, they just don't seem right captain. It just doesn't feel real. :(

I would love to use this game to practice for track days, but right now it isn't cutting it.

What am I missing? Is there initial setup I must do? How can I get that same feel that translates to real life that I am getting in games like Assetto, WRC or Dirt?

I do like the game as a don't-crash-challenge sandbox and I imagine it has a lot of telemetry to play with, so I am a fan, but I really want to use it as my simulation training if I can.

Plz help! :)

EDIT:

These videos helped the most by far, still not perfect and I needed to do some pithouse tuning after. It feels much better than it did. It is still not ACC level for high speed, but I think that now what I am feeling is the tire model and not all the crazy wheel behavior. It is very much improved from the weird dream car I had before!
