Satisfying catch dredging a crankbait on the bottom.

Brings me back to the old 2012 youtube days full of channels predicting the apocalypse 🤣
Every bass over 2 pounds and multiple 3s. Not bad for a 7 acre pond. Half mile on a level b road and only bank access is part of the dam with no boat ramp, just a mowed section of grass and a little clearing through the cat tails. Private pond vibes without the trespassing fine!
Made the trip worth it just before the heat wave. Exactly 5lb even checked with my buddies scale to be sure.
She treat me so fineeee!
Little mid season maintenance so why not do a lil family photo!
Caught at least 5 or 6 in the 3-4lb range. Very satisfying since I bought that bait specifically for this place that has shad in it unlike most of the lakes I fish only have bluegill, sunfish and crappie for forage fish. That line through design works flawless and the bait barely has any damage being Elaztech and all. Some reviews complain that the line doesnt go through to the hook tie and wouldnt run true but I was running 17lb flouro and had no issues so they must've gotten defective ones. I also run a snell knot for the stout hook and I think it helps the bait slide away from the line better without a big knot getting stuck in the line guide.
3.5" Mooch Minnow for reference.
St Croix Mojo Trigon Glass med/hvy moderate. Daiwa Tatula X 100. Nice to finally have a proper crankbait rod to keep those trebles pinned and running shallow cranks over structure. I know St Croix has had some issues in recent years but ive wanted that rod since the first time I seen one in store so I took a chance. Cork seems a little more fragile than my other mojo rods so I put some cork sealer on it for good measure.
Arashi Cover Pop. Amazing for fishing around structure and laydowns, stays in one spot due to the big scoop making a lot of resistance and has a super tight walking action that I like a lot since some baits that walk will shoot off too far when bass goes for a strike and they miss it.
These things work incredibly well during spawn when they wont bite anything else.
Why? Who actually downloads this crap? Is there even a game or is it just a data harvesting scam app? Why is this allowed on YouTube?
I counted at least 6 different lines i pulled up in this 1 snag, its probably 8 feet from a dock. Are people just cutting their line off and leaving 20 yards in the lake!?
