Honestly, I can’t stand how all these homage watches are celebrated and constantly brought up as an alternative to buying an expensive piece you like.
How is that any better than buying a rep? You look down to your wrist, see a watch that looks 100% like something more expensive, read some bullshit like “pagani design” and think you’re better than me for wearing my VSF?
We’re both buying it as the cheap version of the expensive design, one of us however feels they are better than the other because their rep doesn’t say the original brand.
And for what it’s worth, some of these reps are so damn good you literally cannot tell the difference, sometimes even if you open the case. If I like a specific design, i’d rather get that than some “homage” rep that looks like shit, isn’t built well, and has some stupid ass name attached to it.
