blender video aditing

I’m editing video in Blender, but when I play the video, the frame numbers sometimes turn red or the playback stutters. I tried lowering the resolution in the proxy settings and also switched the render engine to Cycles, but nothing really changes. Sometimes the video plays smoothly, but if playback doesn’t work properly, it becomes a big problem for editing. Is there any solution for this? I’m using a MacBook Pro with an M2 chip.
