I know aiming is hard but please I just wanted some gold. Guess I’ll be bombing pots even though it takes a little longer next time I’m using the rail.

I’ve had this copy since the weekend of its release and it took me until now to notice not only that Esquie’s there, but that there seems to be a figure riding him. And with Verso being the only one missing from the team, and of course, his relationship with Esquie, I figured it had to be him.

It’s quite literally a tiny detail, but I like how Sandfall went out of their way to make sure it was never implied that Verso was a playable character. The trailers made him seem antagonistic at times and swapped him for Gustave for any post-Act 1 scenes. Almost as if they wanted to make him difficult to trust before even picking up the game.

I was about to add that Esquie wasn’t on the landscape version that shows on the PS5 screen, but I double-checked and also just realized I did not notice them both the entire time.

415 hours and I never noticed my goat Esquie. I feel very whooooo.

The photo mode posts are never-ending in this sub, but it’s well-deserved! Everything about the game is just so beautiful, I’ve been having a lot of fun spending hours in photo mode for wallpapers. Started out with mostly environment shots because every single area looks like they’re meant to be turned into wallpapers, but I’ve recently tried doing character shots and got to appreciate how well-made the models (and effects!) are too. Love how much freedom photo mode gives us.

This is probably the 87925732th P5 achievement post but I'm grinning ear to ear over finally getting to see the Embrace the Void ending cutscene. I promised myself I'd get all the endings before playing Silksong, so I should finally be picking it up soon! (Technically I'm still missing the Delicate Flower version of the Godhome ending but I was only really aiming for the base version.)

It took me nearly 155 hours on my main save and 43 hours for P5 practice/attempts alone, which included:

• P1-P2 bindings (and 2 for P3, didn't finish all of them)
• An abysmal amount of failed Ascended Markoth attempts (never got the medal)
• A ton of Ascended Grey Prince Zote attempts (this was actually doable)
• A ton of Pure Vessel attempts (and a lucky Radiant)
• Exactly 200 Absolute Radiance attempts (went straight to my final P5 attempt after that)

I played on and off for weeks and would only do 2-3 P5 attempts per session like others recommend. I'd do a few practice runs against Markoth, GPZ, PV, and AbsRad before making an attempt. The Markoth > GPZ lineup ended a good chunk of my P5 runs, and I tried to make a separate Zoteless save early on (second save in the image) but gave up when I got to White Palace, so I stuck with my main save.

This is the hardest I've had to work for a game achievement so far, and I'm really glad I finally got it! I couldn't even imagine being able to attempt it at first, even after giving P1 a shot knowing the rest would get progressively worse, and just had the most respect for anyone who actually beat it (still do!). Turns out even those without much natural skill can still do it, making up for it with practice!

The only achievements I'm missing are the Steel Soul and speedrun ones but I don't plan on doing those for now. Maybe sometime in the future, but for now I'm really excited to play Silksong :)
