hello nurses, especially po sa mga bedside nurses/woking in a hospital. do you guys actually have a second job/side line??? given na our salary is not giving huhuhu pabulong naman please :(( 12 hours shift ako sa hospital and usually 2-3 days pasok and 2-3 days off, what to do during days off?? nabobired din ako pag walang work/ginagawa hehdhehahe thank you!!!

One thing I wish I knew when I started UGC is that brands usually care more about whether you can create content that fits their product than how many followers you have.

What helped me most was making my portfolio feel less like a résumé and more like a mini showcase. Instead of only posting random videos, I started creating sample videos for products I already had at home—unboxings, problem/solution videos, testimonials, and simple talking-head ads.

I also stopped sending generic pitches like “Hi, I’m a UGC creator and I’d love to work with you.” I started mentioning something specific about the brand and suggesting an actual content idea.

For example:
“I noticed you’re launching your new ___ product. I think a 20–30 second ‘POV/problem-solution’ video showing ___ could work well for TikTok/Reels.”

It made my outreach feel much more intentional.
Another thing: don’t undervalue usage rights. Your creation fee and the brand’s right to use your content for ads are two different things. I’m still learning how to price usage properly, but understanding this distinction helped me stop treating every project as just “one video = one price.”
