FRESH GRAD RN IS THIS JOB OFFER OKAY?

Finally after 6 mos of looking for a job I received a JO, but this one is not working bedside. I am torn if I will accept this work or not, I’ll be working as a Med Rep, Is this compensation okay or justifiable?

Basic Salary: Php 18,000

De Minimis (Transpo, Meal, Comms): Php 7,500

Commission (Training): Php 250 per case

Commission (After Training/Solo): Php 500 per case

HMO: Available after the 6-month probationary period

Okay ba itong package for a starter? Or lugi sa biyahe since malawak yung area of territory na handle ko?

US agency

Hi. I need your advice po. Im currently torn between working at middle east while waiting for my PD to be current for US which is sabi nila 2-3 years including retrogression or staying here. But the problem is, my employer/agency will not allow me to work abroad while waiting and they want me to stay where i am now.. gusto ko po magwork sana sa abroad para makapagipon ipon kaysa magstay dito sa pinas na konti lang sahod.. sa tingin niyo po ba dapat nalanv ako magstay dito sa pinas and mag-wait ng 2-3 years for my PD to be current (walang kasiguraduhan pero yan yung sabi nila) or magtry muna ako sa middle east and dun na ako magwait for my US application para naman mas madami maipon .

Meron bang naka abroad dito na hypertensive?

So, I randomly monitored my bp yesterday, and mataas siya 145/85, granted na galing ako night shift nun. Today it's 135/85. I plan to monitor it for 2 weeks before consulting a doctor. Or on maintenance. I'm only 22 btw, I used to be obese, but now in a healthy weight, so I was surprised na mataas pala bp ko.

"We'll let you know this week" They said that after I called them for an update sa application ko.

Ano po kayang meaning nito? from JCI hospital to.

They knew me already kasi yung senior manager ng kakilala ko is send ng send ng CV ko.

Nagask na rin sakin ng questions regarding sa experience ko, previous applicant ako( I turned them down kasi may mas malaking offer yung soft nursing na alam ko and need ko ng money that time), anong year ako graduate and anong year nag NLE.

As someone na once palang nainterview sa buong job life niya, if you can decode? Sorry super silly ng ate niyo.

I lied about being an NCLEX Passer

Hello. So recently, I started training sa isang hospital. During interview, I lied about being an NCLEX passer.

Medjo nagu-guilty rin because I lied. I’m contemplating right now if I’ll come clean or not. 😭😭

“parang hindi nurse”

That’s what my senior nurse said to me and I honestly haven’t stopped thinking about it since.

For context, I was supposed to give my patient a bed bath. But the patient was already getting agitated, saying it was cold and asking me to just do it tomorrow. I tried encouraging her and explained she might feel better after, but she kept refusing and was getting more irritated.

So instead of forcing it, I still tried to provide care within what she could tolerate. I changed the linens, cleaned her hands, feet, and perineal area with wipes, changed her diaper and underpad, and made him more comfortable overall.

Later my senior asked if I gave the bed bath and when I said no because the patient was cold and refusing, she said: “parang hindi nurse.”

I didn’t even know how to react. I just froze. Did I miss something? Did I handle it wrong? Was I supposed to force the patient? Am I too soft for bedside nursing?

I know I still have a lot to learn, but that comment really hit me harder than I expected.

After that interaction, I kept asking myself: is bedside nursing really like this? Do I just have to swallow comments like these and get used to them?

Because honestly, ayoko. Ayokong masanay na normal lang mangpahiya, mangliit, or make someone feel incompetent over one situation. I know I’m new. I know I still have so much to learn. I’m open to correction. But there’s a difference between teaching and making someone feel small.

I don’t know. Maybe I’m too sensitive. Maybe this is just reality in bedside nursing. But right now, I just feel tired.

PDN or dialysis?

Need advice po huhu.

Nag-apply ako before as Private Duty Nurse and na-hire naman ako. Maganda talaga yung sahod and full-time dapat ako doon, kaso halos wala naman akong client noon.

Na-hire din ako as dialysis nurse.

Ngayon nahihirapan ako kasi bawal pagsabayin since full-time dapat ako sa kanilang dalawa.
