Advice for new USRN

Just a piece of advice for nurses who recently passed the NCLEX: please do your research before applying with WWHS.

I know some people have had positive experiences, and no agency is perfect. They built a good reputation during the pandemic, but things seem different now.
For me, the stress simply wasn’t worth it.
My experience with WWHS has taken a serious toll on my mental health, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through the same. Before signing with any agency, take the time to read recent reviews, ask questions, and make an informed decision.

I genuinely hope no one has to experience what I went through.

Feeling guilty about declining two job offers

Both are non hospital job.

Siguro ang babaw ko as a person. Im thankful na may mga natatanggap akong offer pero I feel guilty declining them because di pasok sa criteria ko. Minsan iniisip ko na dapat tanggapin ko nalang pero labag talaga sa puso and isip ko :") I just wish na sana makatanggap na ako ng offer sa mga hospitals na pinag applyan ko because I really want to be at the bedside.

Do you think po ba na nursing is saturated?

I'm an incoming 1st year and idk what to choose between nursing or electronics engineering. I would say na I really love nursing since jhs. I would love to have a fulfilling purpose and help people. However, I was currently enrolled in an engineering school when I found out na pasa pala ako sa local college dito sa amin sa nursing program which is libre din. Ngayon I was worried if switching is worth it kasi I saw some post about being unemployed for a year or so as a fresh grad. Meron din po ako nakikita na di din ganong kadali mag abroad because of gastos and experience. And napapaisip po ako na baka ma-burnout ako eventually and maybe i wasn't fit to be a nurse. I was scared.

If my parents would pick, they would choose engineering. They are not controlling naman and I still have the freedom to choose. Pero I'm afraid that I don't see my self working as an engineer 😭. Do you think na the school you would choose for nursing is important? Or kahit anong school? Yung bsn prog kasi sa school na napasahan ko is bago pa lang, but the engineering school was subok na talaga.

Any advice po huhu?

RN here — interviewed in April, still no word besides ‘legal is reviewing it.’ Normal or red flag?

Hi all, hoping for some insight from anyone who’s gone through EB-3 sponsorship or agency hiring for nursing roles.

I’m an RN (with an active NY license) applying for a hemodialysis nursing position in the US through an agency, with EB-3 visa sponsorship. I interviewed back in April, and it’s now July with no offer or rejection.

I’ve followed up once. The recruiter said they’re “waiting to hear from the legal team.” My application status in their portal still shows “in process,” not closed or rejected.

Shifting from Bedside to Soft nursing considered Working Gap?

Hello po! I’m having thoughts of shifting to soft nursing (company or BPO) while I prepare for my NCLEX and begin my German language classes para di ganon kapagod + HMO benefits. Nagwoworry lang po ako na baka maapektuhan yung mga opporutnities ko in the future since many employers don’t like working gap.
P.S. I might apply to go to the US after Germany
Tysm po in advance! 🥹

Is it safe for a nurse to reinsert same needle in vial?

Hello. I’m not sure where to ask or report this. I had my antirabies vaccine and the nurse repeatedly reinsert/puncture the vial cause she couldn’t get the vaccine inside. Di pa naman po nya na inject sakin but I just read na hindi din pala adviseable na i-reinsert sa vial even though di pa na inject sa skin. After that she tried to inject sakin pero ayaw daw pumasok probably dahil pumurol na daw sa rubber ng vial (pero dumugo pa din arm ko) so thats when she changed the needle para mag inject sa kabilang arm.

Was that safe? Kabado ako kasi i have weak immune system and kakagaling ko lang din sa confinement. What should I do?

Thank you.

Wfh Job Recommendations

Hello po so lahat👋

Currently working as a UM VA in a certain company pero on training pa lng. However, I find the workload quite heavy and pressured na rin sa increasing Quota na ni rerequire nila. At first I was quite motivated to keep going and push myself to improve my performance, though as time goes by, parang naka autopilot na lng ako sa pressure. This is my first VA job and sobrang nag adjust ako sa workflow, sleep pattern and sa pag pressure ng utak ko napaganahin every night to review the cases. Preceptors aren’t helping as well, their job is to check if tama nga yung pag review nmin pero binabalik niya yung cases leaving you to analyze san ka nag kamali without proper corrections. Early on, I felt burn out na kahit anong relax sa weekend hindi na effective to keep my mind off sa trabaho.

My friend used to be a Medical records reviewer and suggested this job, as the workflow is not that heavy compared sa work ko ngayon. Do you have any recommendations na WFH VA with this work position? Or any other position na keri yung work process?

Thank you so much and hope for a friendly suggestions ❤️

33-36k for Company Nurse (New Grad)

Helloo, with the hiring freeze in hospitals, I had to resort to soft nursing muna. For context, this will be my first job and wala pa akong any certifications. Is it worth it to go for this line of work or should I just wait for an opening sa hospitals? Hawak ko na yung job offer and contract. I can't disclose the exact salary.

Ano ba pwede kong gamitin na excuse?

Hi! I’m currently working on my first ever nursing job for 1 month. Ngayon, bago lang nag text yung government hospital na for exam ako next week. Sadly, may duty ako that time.

Ano ba pwede kong sabihin as excuse para makapag exam ako? Feel ko kasi ayaw talaga ako ng head nurse namin 😢 Sayang rin po kasi yung opportunity since I will be earning twice as much sa government hospital than my current workplace. 16k lang po yung salary ko currently and di po talaga ako mabubuhay sa salary especially since dami ko ring responsibilities as a breadwinner.

Uk or Ireland?

I’m a novice RN with about 3 months of bedside experience. I was recently recruited and willingly transferred to a hospital-based dialysis unit, and I’m hoping to build a long-term career in dialysis.

Lately, I’ve been conflicted about which country I should invest my time, money, and effort into for my future nursing career. My sister is currently living in the UK and is already a citizen there. However, she mentioned that job opportunities for nurses in the UK are currently more limited than before.

I’m still doing my own research, but I’d really appreciate hearing from nurses who have firsthand experience working in either the UK or Ireland (or those who have recently gone through the application process).

My plan is to gain at least 1.5 years of dialysis experience before I start processing my documents and taking the necessary exams. Since the process requires a significant investment of time and money, I want to make the most informed decision possible

Planning to go abroad, what should I do first?

Hi, I'm 26/F and currently I have 1 yr experience as HD nurse but I worked in a standalone dialysis clinic. I want to go abroad so badly since the salary here in Ph isn't enough for me to pay our family's debt.

I'm asking for an advice what is my best course of action to go abroad even with my 1 yr experience in a clinic.

Interview outfit

Hello po. I have an exam and interview tomorrow sa hospital na inaapplyan ko. Ano po ang susuotin? Like formal ba (with blazer), or simple blouse lang, or casual? Ano po ba usually sinusuot niyo kapag may interview?

Other info sa hospi: priv hosp, malaki ang space, sosyalin.

I attended a personal interview last week sa isang priv hosp na hindi masyado malaki. I wore white double lining shirt at gray drawstring pants at white rubber shoes. Nagtatravel kasi ako 2 hours from our place to hospital kaya ganyan yung suot ko. Pasado naman sa exam nila at interview, magpapasa nalang ako ng reqs.

Tumawag kasi yung isang hospi kaya try kong puntahan, baka mas malaki offer🥹.

Fabella Hospital Qualifying Exam

Hi everyone! I recently received a text from Fabella HR for my qualifying exam schedule.

I already replied to confirm my attendance, but I haven't received any follow-up confirmation or reply from them.

For those of you who have applied here and confirmed your attendance:

  • Did you get a confirmation text or call from HR after you replied?
  • What is the recommended dress code for the exam?

Thank you in advance!

NCLEX in New York or New Mexico

Hi, studying for the PNLE this august. Need your two cents on this. I am planning to take the NCLEX soon, sponsored by my relatives in the states. My options are:

New York

Pros:

> does not need an SSN

> easier route to get a license

Cons:

> idk where to start here

New Mexico

Pros:

> compact state

> near my relatives in Arizona

Cons:

> needs an SSN

> more requirements (IELTS, fingerprints, etc)

Please no advice about "focus on PNLE first", I have things planned out alr for that

Which is better, ME or SG as stepping stone to US?

Anong mas better po na kumuha ng experience, sa Middle East or Singapore?

I heard na pag 1 yr exp sa SG is considered parin as Enrolled Nurse (EN), is it counted po ba as exp ng mga agency to US?

QA Nurse

I’m working as a QA Nurse for a small home health agency in Texas (around 100–150 patients). My current salary is ₱20,000/month (not dollars pag nagpasweldo).

I started with the company as a PHRN, and last month I passed the NCLEX-RN. My bosses (who are also Filipinos) know that I passed, but there hasn’t been any salary increase or discussion about adjusting my compensation.

My role and responsibilities are still the same for now, but I feel like earning the NCLEX-RN adds value to my qualifications, especially since we work with a US home health agency.

Would it be reasonable to ask for a raise? Or is it fair for the company not to increase my salary unless my role or responsibilities change?

For those working in home health, QA, or BPO healthcare, I’d appreciate hearing your experiences. Did passing the NCLEX lead to a salary adjustment, or did you have to negotiate for it?

NCLEX Process Forms

So I already processed my application for the NCLEX, however I have a concern regarding the sequence since I opted for the school to mail my paper to NY. In this case, my documents (2F, TOR, Diploma etc.) arrived to NY at May 28, 2026, and I filed for the 1F Form June 12, 2026. Will they still process it? Or is it really necessary for the 1F to be filled first before sending my 2F, TOR etc. to NY?

I have been overthinking this because I don't wanna travel back to my school (8 hours travel round trip) to file again my papers.

Thank you in advance for the answer.
