First-time birder looking for binocular recommendations — Nocs vs. Vortex?

Hello!
I’m looking to get my boyfriend a pair of binoculars for our upcoming camping trip, and I’d love some recommendations. We’re both new to birding, so I’m hoping to find something beginner-friendly but also good quality and durable enough to last for many years.
I’m currently deciding between the Nocs 8x42 and Vortex Crossfire 8x42. Has anyone used either of these? I’d love to hear which one you prefer, how they perform for birding, and whether you think either would be a good long-term investment.
I’m definitely open to other recommendations as well! My main priorities are good image quality, durability, and something that’s comfortable/easy for a beginner to use and maybe not super expensive !! Ideally $150 range!

I really appreciate any advice, thank you!!

rank prog isn’t updating on lvl 12, and probation warning for no reason?

Does anyone know how to fix this? This keeps popping up on screen, it hasn’t been updating the lvl progress either. I tried spamming A + B, it still shows probation. no quitting lobbies either so idk what’s going on.

T-2 Drinking Water Treatment Certification Process Confusion

Hi everyone,
I'm interested in getting my T-2 Drinking Water Treatment Operator certification, but I'm a little confused about the process and was hoping someone who has gone through it could help.
For those of you who earned your T-2, what training course(s) did you take to prepare for the exam?

I've been looking at American Water College, and they offer three online courses related to the T-2 certification. Are all three courses required to meet the eligibility requirements, or is taking just one of them enough to qualify for the T-2 exam?

I'm also planning to become certified through CWEA. Do I first take and pass the T-2 exam and then submit that certification when applying through CWEA, or is there a different process?

I'd really appreciate any advice or insight from anyone who's been through the certification process. Thanks in advance!
