This winter, while cleaning the yard, I broke off the top of this Chinese date tree with a plank. I'm not an expert, I'm asking this as advice. The tree looks healthy to me despite the situation and termined growth. Will it continue to flower and potentially fruit in the long term? The tree is currently in its second year. Thanks

I bought this dawg a while ago just because it was listed among the cheaper NM listings knowing I would want to crack it open someday. I don't collect slabs, and of course this is a grading company with questionable reputation, but as I said...

I watched some YouTube videos about cracking slabs open with pliers and a screwdriver, sometimes knives too but am too nervous. I would genuinely appreciate any additional info from anyone here who has some experience in cracking slabs. I am not resubmitting for grading but sure would not want it damaged.

Is pliers + screwdriver lever still the way to go?
