I live in Rogers Park (but do travel) and I’m looking for an active writing group to join. I’ve found some online recommendations but they all go to defunct websites and meetup groups. Is anyone aware of any current, active groups that are meeting up and accepting new members?
Originally from southwest Michigan, I’ve spent around the last decade of my 43 year old life in Chicago. To be closer to family and more affordable housing, I’m considering moving to Detroit/Royal Oak/Ferndale. Just wondering if anyone has moved there from Chicago and how you feel about it. Bonus points if you’re a lesbian because it’s so so so so gay in Chicago, the idea of moving makes me worry about the possible small dating pond since I’m single and don’t want to be single forever.
