What makes a good set?

I’m learning to DJ and want to set a goal to aim for! I have a pretty good ear so I naturally understand phrasing and give my sets a journey/narrative element. But do people have anything deeper non-obvious ideas of what truly makes a set musically exceptional? Of course I understand much of it is about context (ie popular vs artsy), but I’m wondering if we can generalise over that.

For context I’m into deep techno: think Kia (obsessed), Animalia label, etc.

Edit: feel free to post your fav sets as examples!

Is Y-3 cringe in 2026?

Leaning into more of a tech vibe lately and just wanted to get a vibe check on Y-3, specifically shoes, specifically these. My idea is low profile trainer, except tech/futuristic instead of vintage:

She (24F) Asked for my (29M) number, then ghosted me. Why?

Had an incredible, love-at-first sight connection with a beautiful, interesting woman the other night. Seriously thought I might have met the one. She asked for my number and I said I would like to see her again. We exchanged info, I asked if she wanted to get a drink, but several days on she hasn't answered.

Why would she do this?
