Buying 1-2 person sauna - Budget is up to $4500

My main goal would be deep joint and muscle healing. so... far infrared?

Secondary goal of being able to get a good sweat in - so temperature rising not taking forever?

It will be in a covered area, but is outdoors, but is also well out of the elements. Cedar seems like a good choice for this case to prevent bugs, but will be in a screened patio.

Here are some products I have identified:

  1. SunRay Sedona 1 Person Cedar Infrared Sauna with Carbon Heaters
  2. Almost Heaven Laurel 1-Person Infrared Sauna
  3. RejuvaCure™ Red Light Therapy Low EMF Infrared Sauna
  4. Dynamic Vittoria Elite 2-person Ultra Low EMF FAR Infrared Sauna

Any help is appreciated! I am not sure how to evaluate any of this.

Day trip nara and asuka

Can you day trip from kyoto to nara and then to asuka?

By train what would be the earliest you could get to Nara from Kyoto.

Leave to asuka when the crowds arrive

then back to Kyoto.

I could also do it from Osaka if that is better

Logistics Recommendations

Currently the plan is to fly into Osaka, then go to Kyoto.

After Kyoto I have 2 choices

  1. go to Gifu and do a walking tour that ends in Matsumoto, then go to Takayama, but we are flying out of Tokyo which requires me to go back to Nagano (maybe?) If I don't want to take a bus. Not sure of best way to get from Takayama to Tokyo, I can always switch to flying from Osaka, but I have some Delta e-credits $700 I would like to use and Delta is only in Tokyo from what I can tell.

  2. Or I can go from Kyoto to Takayama, back to Gifu end in Matsumoto and then go to Tokyo from there.

Open to suggestions.

First Time to Japan

I have a tentative plan to visit early November for around 2 weeks. We don't really have a budget, I am not concerned so much about that. We don't do big trips like this very often.

It is our first trip to Japan and may not come back for many years.

My wife and I are very interested in your Nakasendo Trail to Takayama self-guided tour by Oku Japan. It is 6 days which would be nearly half of our trip. I like this because I am very interested in Takayama and we could spend time there after.

We plan to start in Osaka or Tokyo. We are most interested in historical and rural Japan.

I know that I would like to see Kyoto for several days as well as Osaka for 1 or two nights (for the food?). Probably a day trip to Nara in there.

I am concerned that by doing the 6 day, we would miss "must-see" things for a first time trip but we also want to avoid huge tourist crowds.  We were interested in doing at least one temple stay, a tea ceremony.

We are young and physically fit and love hiking and getting immersed in the less-visited areas especially when nature is involved. Any help or ideas is appreciated!
