Wellington High questions
I've got a Y10 son who is considering transferring from Wellington College to Wellington High as hes not having a great time at Coll and thinks High might be a better fit for him.
For people that go there or have gone, or have transferred...
- What is the level of homework demand on students? WC seems excessively high but not sure how it compares
- What are the device policies/strictness like outside of classes?
- How easy is it for a transferring student who doesn't know anyone to integrate and make friends? He's not super outgoing/extroverted but does have hobbies (music, computers). Hes obviously not keen on leaving the friends he does have at WC and not knowing anyone.
Be keen for any advice or experiences.

Found a trove of silver betel boxes at the op shop
Stamped T900 for 90% silver content they are Cambodian Betel boxes and around $2000 in melt value so feeling like I got a good deal for $200 😀
I left 5 behind and kicking myself.

Spidey senses went off and thought I'd try my luck with a blind buy...
Even if it didn't glow, NZD$20 was a good price for this Stevens & Williams vase so wouldn't have been mad either way but the spice was a lovely outcome 😊

1980s ALF phone
Photos can't do justice to how absolutely filthy this guy was.. absolutely caked in dust and grime, along with a massive burn mark on his handset. He had a full top to toe cleaning with repairs to his loose fur, and I've repaired the handset - 3 grits of Sandpaper then plastic doctor did the trick.

A surprise score from a very overpriced jumble shop
Run by one of those guys who puts a price sticker on nothing and will charge you dependent on how much he likes the look of you and how good his day has been so I was very lucky to get this for NZD$55. Murano sommerso I believe?
