New piece from my late grandmother
Plates are UG. I was told on the UG sub the bowl was manganese.

Just found these in an old cupboard which belonged to my grandmother, I'm new to this but I was told the brand is Jeanette and the model is Adam from the 1930s so it's from the US. I just lit it with an old incandescent black light as it's the only thing I have available rn so idk if it's 365nm or 395nm. We lit it in the dark and though it appears vibrant in pictures I'd say it was kinda faint irl So could this be just manganese? Or low quantity uranium?
Found this brooch at an Antique stall at a Gem Faire, I have no other info on it, but it glows bright under a 395
It’s a butter / cheese dish. The dome is clear. Both pieces glow under 365 so I’m guessing it’s manganese. I can’t find any marks and can’t find any matches online. Curious about it and hoping you can help. Thank you!
It's your classic setup, visible light, 395, 365, dual wavelength, geiger, and side view.
I brought my receipts because this plate keeps me UP at night. I solarize glass on my roof and this plate has remained nearly unchanged for the last 2 years. That alone isn't weird, the tint is interpretively yellow, that's been known to happen, but to pieces clarified with selenium.. not mg. The glow is strange and it makes me question, natural or industrial uranium contamination? Please give me your thoughts
365nm light, the middle one is from Mexico and more modern than the outer two so it’s not manganese. They still need some cleaning, but it was definitely surprising to find that they glow.
Some of my sea glass, they definitely have a bit of a glow and compared to my other sea glass they don’t reflect the purple light, better flashlight is on the way as this one isn’t filtered but these pieces definitely stand out
Strong glow under 365nm!
I don’t buy much manganese, but some pieces just can’t be left behind. Excellent condition, just needs a little clean up 🧼
Please help. Can someone please explain to me like I was 5, what in the AF is going on here. I went to an estate sale this morning & the first thing the lady said to me (after seeing my light) “you won’t find anything green that glows here”. I decided to look anyways. When I saw this, I couldn’t figure out what the hell it was. She gladly took my $5 and I left. Straight home to post this because I need your opinions. What did I find and who or when could it have been made by. These pictures were taken with 395nm. Thank you all for helping me out so much.
With a 365 UV Light it glows, with a 395 it does not. Can a dark blue such as this contain uranium?
This grey colored glass glows bright yellow under 365 and pale green under 395. These are modern, no clue what material causes this reaction?
This was my first time looking for uranium glass and I got this haul for $33. After looking at a flow chart, I think these are manganese glass. Either way, I'm excited for the good deal!
I picked these up today and all of the purple ones show green under a 365nm blacklight. The one on the right also glows. Are any of these manganese glass? The 2 on the right are Coke glasses, but I don't know their age.
This lamp literally just came into the thrift store I work at. It has a pretty nice green glow to it under 365 nm UV, but the camera doesn’t really do it justice. Not really sure whether I should put it out on the floor to sell, or snag it for myself lol.
