Found this lovely 6” green glass vase with a metal filigree collar and hand-painted lace detail. Looking for info or a potential maker!

Hi everyone! I picked up this beautiful green glass vase recently and am trying to learn a bit more about its origins.

Here are the details I’ve gathered so far:

Size: Exactly 6 inches tall.

Shape: It has a really neat tri-lobe (three-leaf clover) column body.

Base: The bottom has a slight concave/pushed-up center, but it’s completely smooth with no pontil mark or seam line cuts.

Details: The top features an intricate, pierced metal filigree rim/collar. The white paint on the body mimics fine lace drapery and feels noticeably raised and textured to the touch.

Testing: It doesn't glow under a UV/blacklight, so it isn't uranium glass.

My initial hunch is that it might be antique Bohemian or French Art Nouveau (maybe Carl Goldberg, Harrach, or Legras?), but I would love to hear from the experts here.

Does anyone recognize this specific mold shape or the lace-style enameling technique? Any insights into the maker or exact time period would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Unique item

Most unusual and unique item i have ever bought from a charity shop was this.

The very first drops if oil from a UK test well.

It's a unique item, probably only a handful made and given to the shareholder or the executives of the conglomerate put together and invested in this test well that struck oil.

It was only open for a few years before it dried up.

Its now UK's biggest under ground gas storage unit.

I love looking into the history of the things I find.

Definitely worth the £1.60.

Whats your unique items you have found

A few bird and chalice pieces hand-carved by my grandad back in the 80s and 90s. I think the wood has aged beautifully!

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a few sentimental pieces from my collection.

My grandad used to do wood carving quite a bit in East Yorkshire during the 1980s and 1990s, and these are a few of the birds and a little chalice/trophy cup (birdbath)he made back then.

I’m really impressed with how nicely the wood tone and finish have held up after 30–40 years. They've developed a really rich, warm patina over time.

He always used to carve the birds directly onto natural logs and tree stumps, which gives them a great rustic look.

I believe the long-billed one on the top right is a Kingfisher is my favourite,I'm surprised his beak has lasted this long.

I'm not entirely sure, but i think he use to like doing the wrens with the amount he did..Any other carvers here who love seeing how their older pieces age?

Absolute steal of a glass and silver haul today! All 4 pieces for only £5.50 total! 🎉

I am still in shock over day's thrift store luck! I managed to walk away with this entire little collection for just £5.50.Here is what I found:The

Silver Frog Token:

A detailed little silver frog sitting perfectly on its own little lillypad

.The Amber/Manganese Glass Rearing Horse: Absolutely beautiful when the light hits it.

The Iridescent Art Glass Perfume Bottle/Inkwell: The oil-slick, iridescent finish on this base is stunning.

The Colorful End-of-Day/Mottled Glass Vase: Super vibrant reds, greens, and yellows.I’m completely obsessed with how well they all look together on the table. The horse or the silver piece alone feels like it should have cost double what I paid for the whole lot!

Street fair, £1

Someone as informed me this Amethyst/Manganese,

I need to get a better 395nm torch

u/sticksi145 — 12 days ago

Is it,or isn't it.

Just wondering if it is,or not.

Only got a small 395 torch, not sure its just the colour of the glass and my torch light mingling.

I apologise if its a silly question.

Please help identify

Title: Help identifying this vintage glass rearing horse? Peach/amber colorway with internal red wisps on a unique tripod base.

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help identifying the maker, region, or specific era of this beautiful rearing glass stallion figurine.

Here are the details I have:

* Height: 200mm (approx. 8 inches)

* Condition: Pristine (no chips, cracks, or flea bites)

* Color: Beautiful translucent peach/amber body. What's really neat is that under the light, you can clearly see distinct "wisps" or streaks of a trailing dark red/crimson color trapped deep inside the neck and chest. Photo 4

* Base: It has a very cool, engineered tripod design. It's a flattened, pinched disc base where the artisan pulled out three distinct pointed prongs or spurs to balance the horse. The tail is completely suspended in the air and doesn't touch the ground.

* Details: The face and mane have a lot of manual tool work (pronounced muzzle, defined nostrils, and individually scored ridges along the mane).

There are no visible maker's marks or signatures on the base. It looks a lot like mid-century Italian lampwork/flamework (Murano/Venetian style), but I've also seen similar pinched bases from mid-century Scandinavian or Bohemian studios.

Does anyone recognize this specific style of pulled tripod base or the internal red color bleeding technique? Would love to know if this points to a specific factory or glass master (like Formia, Seguso, etc.). Thank you!
