She looked different less than a month ago. I thought it was just the makeup, but she genuinely looks different now… did she do something new to her face? It changes every month 😭

Fanbases Are the New PR Teams

We all know what PR is and why it’s important in every industry, but when people talk about PR in Bollywood now, it usually has a negative meaning.

Back then, negative PR meant planted articles, rumors, or shady stories targeting another actor to make their client look better. But with social media becoming bigger, PR has changed, too.

Now, a lot of fan accounts are basically part of the PR machine. Some of them are in direct contact with celebrity teams, get exclusive info, early updates, or even talking points. That’s why so much negativity today comes directly from social media instead of random articles. It’s not just about verified blue tick accounts either.

If you want to know which fanbases are the most aggressive, look at who spends the most time creating narratives around their favorite celebrity and constantly pushing the same stories: “everyone is copying them,” “everyone is obsessed with them,” “this actress is jealous,” “that actor is threatened,” etc.

Some even write full articles on small websites just to spread those narratives further. At this point, a lot of what people call “fan wars” doesn’t even feel organic anymore. It feels like modern PR, just disguised as regular fans.

For Ms. Rai, women’s conversations are boring and revolve around makeup and dresses, and according to her fans, all women are jealous of her. But what about the kind of conversations with men she chooses to engage in? That must somehow be other women’s fault too
