Broke in my new DT Hydra V2 today!

I took a few hours today to break in my new DT Hydra V2 today at a local creek. This rod is an absolute pleasure to use and handles the 4-15" trout beautifully. The rod is super accurate and shoots a fly like a sniper rifle. DT really outdid themselves with this rod!

60 fish day!

Checked out a new creek today and it did not disappoint. In just under 4 hours I landed 60 fish and missed a bunch more hook sets. The fish in this creek were some of the most beautiful fish I've caught in California. About a half a dozen were over the 12" mark with one coming in around 15". And to think I almost didn't go fishing today....

What's a XR+ w/650 miles worth

I'm the original owner of an XR+ with 650 miles on it. The board is in great shape with rail guards on since day 1, mag fender, c&r gel footpad and c&r skid guards. I've kept the battery charged between 50&75% but don't ride it anymore. What's it worth in the used market?

Fish id help.... Golden Hybrid?

Checked out a new creek today and caught these fish I think are Golden hybrids. I've never caught a golden or golden hybrid so I'm just not sure. Maybe they are just super colorful rainbows.... What are these?

Simplifying my fly box

I had way too many flies in my box and realized I always use the save 4-6 patterns so I decided to pair down my box. I put heavy flies on one side and kebari style on the other. I have a separate one for dry flies.

I think the only thing I need to add is a leech or bugger pattern for big browns.

What do you guys think?

Taught a friend tenkara

Took a friend out for his first tenkara adventure. He got the hang of it quickly and landed about 16 trout in a few hours.

50% alumni shade cloth addition

Built our gh a few months ago and it still gets too hot even after I added the exhaust fans. Research says I should add shade cloth over the roof to aid in keeping the heat down. I made a wood frame, v attached it to the gh and then screwed the shade cloth to it giving it a 3-5 inch gap between the roof panels and the shade cloth. Overall it turned out good. Not sure it's gonna help but figured it couldn't hurt
