Akai MPC Sample and External drum kits

I have many drum kits from a library on my PC, and I've copied them to the microSD card of my Akai MPC Sample to try and use them. However, when I try to load them, I need a file in a specific format for it to be recognized. What format should it be, or how can I do it so I don't have to load the pads one by one?

Samples in Poly not compatible with Note On?

Hi people!, new user with Akai MPC Sample here!!!

Let me make a quiestion, when I set a sample to Poly it works fine, but if I also set it to Note On it stops being polyphonic.

Is this normal behavior? It seems a bit strange if so.

My process is as follows: I record a sample, assign it to a pad, adjust the trims to my liking, set it to Poly, set it to Note On, turn on 16-level mode, and try to play 3 notes simultaneously to play a triad, but it only playa it in Mono. If I turn off Note On, it reverts to polyphonic.

A few Blackstar Beam Mini questions.

I've had the Blackstar Beam Mini for a week now, and I'm happy with it; it's what I expected. But its software seems very improvable; it feels rushed.

The search function in the Music section doesn't work, and you can't create backing tracks with anything other than the few pre-loaded songs.

When using an amp via NAM, you can't use pre-effects pedals except for Gates.

The connection with Tone3000 drops very often, as does the connection between the amp and my phone.

But most importantly, when I load Crunch-type captures, they sound great, but they're too clean. I have to increase the gain to get the sound they should have. It seems like the guitar's input level is too low, and there's no control to adjust the input signal level.

I'd like Blackstar to improve these and other things.

USA Made 3 Colour Sunburst Strat???

Hello friends,

Currently, regarding Strats, I have a Classic Player '60s, and especially an American Ultra Cobalt Blue, with pickups swapped for a Gilmour-style set. This Ultra is my perfect guitar, except for the color; I'm a bit tired of it, and I need a Strat with the Ultra's characteristics but in Sunburst. Specifically, it has to have a 2-pivot bridge with a push-in tremolo arm, frets as well-finished as the Ultra's, and a compound radius, either 9.5" or 12", and a rosewood fretboard. And if possible, locking tuners, the same fret cutaways as the Ultra for access to all 22 frets on the neck.

But we don't have anything in the current Fender catalog that we can compare. The Ultra series has three Sunburst colors, and in the rest of the series, the other colors vary depending on the specific conditions.

Any recommendations?

NAM rig for a QC/Helix user

Hello everyone,

I'm a curious person and these days I feel the need to try NAM, but I'm also quite settled. I used to be a working musician, but for health reasons I had to stop making music and now I only make music at home.

I've always worked with classic rigs, initially pedals and amps, but I soon moved on to digital systems, from Positive Grid BIAS to Helix, QC, and everything in between.

Currently, although I'm very frustrated by its significant limitations, I mostly use QC because it's an all-in-one solution. If IK Multimedia were to release a QC-style pedalboard with the ToneX at its core, I wouldn't hesitate; I adore my ToneX One. Anyway, what I'm getting at is that I'd love to have an all-in-one system (amps and effects) on my iPad. I'd simply open the iPad, connect it to my ToneX One as a sound interface, and that's it. But no matter how much I research, I don't see that as currently possible, or maybe I'm just too old to do it.

On a PC, the closest thing is using Ableton or Gig Performer, loading the NAM VST, and then loading effects, but I hate having to use a laptop; it's beyond me. I'm looking for ultimate simplicity.

Would you be so kind as to give me some ideas or tell me how I could achieve something as simple as what I'm looking for?

Thank you so much in advance.
