Living off Franklin C as a woman

Hi neighbors would appreciate hearing folks’ experience living off the Franklin C (especially as a woman).

I’m a POC woman who has lived in NYC for over a decade but something about that Fulton/Franklin corner gives me a sense of unease every time. I have had a few physical subway scares this year so I may also be a bit shook up from that. I need to commute almost daily.

I know about the Armory shelter nearby and the plasma donation center being a rough mix that draws the wrong crowd, junkies, dealers, etc. Any perspectives appreciated, thanks!

Living off Franklin C train as a young woman

Hi neighbors! Considering an apartment right off the Franklin C - I’ve lived in Bedstuy before, but this particular station doesn’t have the best reputation - lots of junkies and questionable activities in broad daylight and after dark. I’ve lived in NYC for over a decade but something about that corner on Fulton/Franklin gave me a sense of unease.

Would love to know if it’s something that affects your experience living there (especially if you are a woman). I’ve had a few subway scares this year so I may also be a bit shook up. Beyond safety, would also appreciate perspectives on convenience commuting, living in the general area, etc.
