Mauldin Special Called City Meeting

Mauldin Special Called City Meeting

The city just posted a meeting for tomorrow night. They are going to hold an Executive Session where they go into a closed door meeting to discuss a senstive topic. Usually personnel issues, legal issues, real estate or security issues. It is in reference to the GE Vernova Stadium at Bridgeway. Anyone heard anything? Seems important since it was short notice.

Jimothy Crossing

There is a vinyl cutter at my maker space. This is the kind of stuff I make. Recycled an old corrugated bandit sign

Haywood Road at 385. About 6:30 am

Looks like there were trucks on both sides of the median. Anyone know what happened?

Sidewalk Buckled from High Temps

Walked my dogs this morning and it wasn’t like this. Someone else noticed it this afternoon. Could be something else, but seems like the hot days have made the concrete expand and push up.

Neighborhood is 23 years old so it’s pretty old concrete.

City BBQ Smokestacks

I've never seen any smoke coming out of this building, but there is always firewood stacked up besides these smokers. Do they run them overnight? Is everything just brought in pre-cooked on a truck now?

Side note: We need a "Conspiracy Theory" Flair.

Old Carolina Point Property Sold?

The GIS Shows it changed owners in February of this year to an LLC called 15 Carolina Point Investor, registered in Georgia. Anyone know if something is finally happening on this property? I thought it was once listed as an EPA Superfund site, but it presently shows it as NFRAP Status (No Further Remedial Action Planned).

It was being developed around 2007 into like a multi-use space, but it sounds like investors at the time didn't like the risks and bailed, and it was eventually torn down, leaving a massive property in the heart of a very busy area. The change in ownership makes me think something is on the horizon, but what?

Never forget

Today is the 10 year anniversary of the tragic death of Harambe. A memorial has been set up on his bridge near Bridgeway station.

Just starting my tall trike

Picked it up from FB marketplace for $40. It’s in good shape. Hoping some naval jelly and steel wool will clean up the wheels. Instead of putting a full bike frame im hoping to make the head tube and seat tubes longer and triangulate them on the back frames and raise basically everything up about 24”

10 Year Anniversary of Harambe's Passing

Two week warning: The 10 year anniversary of Harambe's passing is Thursday, May 28th. It would be a surprise to me if a makeshift memorial popped up on his bridge again.

Help bring The Pushback to Greenville and check out my public art phone under the main street bridge

Come check out the phone to hear their music and tell the pushback to come play a show in Greenville. They are a jazz fusion band out of Nashville. Follow @yaptraps on social media

Who saw Everclear at the Foundry last night? They were fantastic as were the openers the get right band out of Asheville. Already making plans to go see them again in a couple weeks in brevard

I bought this magnet like 10 years ago from the CVS on east Washington downtown. I’m guessing someone is in charge of buying bricka brack for the stores and didn’t look at a map.

Was at the miracle hill and there was a table setup outside closer to Planet fitness on woodruff road near east butler. They had what I thought was a big trash can setup for donations and I had a little cash I was going to toss in and the girl stopped me and said we only accept whole donations and showed me a folder with “backpacks” that could be purchased for between $74 and like $400. I just laughed and walked away. What kind of charity doesn’t accept cash donations? Is this some kind of scam. I can’t recall the exact name of the charity.
