Some of these variants are more for drip than practicality, but I’d like y’all’s opinions (I really just want a non-copyrighted camo to make some custom Vans, but also it would be dope to make some gear with it.) Keep in mind that this is a perfect digital image with high saturation, so on a piece of fabric it would be a little less saturated I think.
I always knew most LBT gear is like 10years behind the curve, not innovative, and way overpriced, but this is INSANE. They just copied the TSSi M9 bag, (I mean COPIED) which has been out for like 30 years now, and charged 3x more for it. (BTW it says “kit” but it doesn’t come with any medical supplies, just 4 inserts, 3 of which the TSSi bag includes stock…)
Both bags are made in USA, LBT can suck a fat cock. I’ve bought a few day packs from them, and every single one was sub-par, poor stitching, thin fabrics that fade fast, I’d take the chinesium before LBT if I bought again.
(Besides the earmors, I think it’s pretty decent)
I’ll try to keep this short. This is an old Elbit Omni 7 tube in a BNVH14-v2 housing. I put this setup together for CHEAP so if this tube is just going bad, I’m not surprised.
Essentially, it acts weird under low light conditions, as demonstrated in the video by closing the iris on the device. What makes this weird, is that there is also a sweet spot or two in the articulation where it functions normally, and does not get this strange bright ring around the edge, even under low light.
Now, this is an 11769 format tube, and I did add a 130kohm SMD resistor in place of the ECAG, so do you think this tube is just failing? Or is the tube/housing trying to regulate voltage under low light to maintain a clear picture, but something is wrong, causing this strange light ring?? What do you think?
They fell off a truck. Everything but the nods is in ‘em.
This is going to get downvoted into oblivion, but it has to be said as the wave of paid shills make videos about this thing and how “amazing the price is” and the flood of excited buyers go to empty their wallets without giving it a second thought.
•••TLDR: if you think you may face an opponent with night vision, the FMP13 is a bad option for you. The optic gives off a lot of visible and IR, light, it could make you a target•••
The FMP13 is not a tactical optic. To some of you, this may sound like a non-controversial opinion, but when I saw the Jeff Gurwich’s video about this, along with the flood of other sponsored videos (I don’t say this to criticize Jeff, he’s awesome) I noticed that some of the reviewers acted like this optic offered a huge tactical advantage in a night setting, (Jeff didn’t do this, just mentioning it since he was the first vid I saw) and there were countless comments on these videos where guys talk about how great of a supplement this will make for their LPVO tactical carbine.
I commented on the Modern Tactical Shooting video criticizing the fact that this optic when used in the dark will light you up like a Christmas tree, and any adversary using NODs would see you immediately, and that people should think twice before hopping on the bandwagon.
Of course, this was met with a typical internet response of “you’re dumb, nah” and “bro it’s clearly a hunting optic”, but I have to reiterate, there are countless guntuber videos marketing this thing as a tactical option, the marketing from infitac even does this, let alone the thousands of comments (and even Reddit posts) from guys who put this on their tactical carbines. Notice who Infitac chose to market this product. You don’t see Steve Rinella making videos about it.., it’s the big name tactical tubers.
I’m not trying to say that the Infitac FMP13 is a bad optic by any means, I’m just saying that the marketing and general sentiment around it now is kinda silly. Again, if you think that there’s any chance your hypothetical adversary might have NODs, (or even functional eyeballs) then this thing is going to give you away. There’s a reason all tactical thermal optics (weapon mounted or not) have rubber eyecups. If you just wanna use it for hunting or home defense, and you’re not worried about light discipline, then go ahead! But I just wanna point out how silly it is to put this on a rifle with an IR laser and vis light ND caps. (If you know what I mean)
Thanks for reading my novel, even if you disagree.
Wanted something for the wife to be able to larp with me on the cheap.
-2x Blemmed Omni 7 Elbit GP tubes $1200
-BNVH-14 V2 Housing NEW $650
-Brightpath PVS-14 Glass NEW $800
Could have been done cheaper if I bought used glass, used housing, or worse tubes, but these are perfectly usable.
If I could do it over, I’d have probably bought a used RNVG housing for cheaper, and that’d be collimate-able, but this’ll be a fine loaner.
Just goes to show you don’t need to spend $3000 to get into nods.
-Shoutout to Midwest Night Vision for the bargain tubes

Still thought yall would like this. 90% of the gear is legit anyways, the real guns are kept in the safe tho
Looking at these housings in particular for a CHEAP loaner set. Anything I should know? Can’t find a single review online.
