With the holiday season upon us… A lot of companies have reached out for events. I try to spread events out as much as possible, but I also want to accommodate everyone and give everyone the opportunity to save money on events so here is the tentative event schedule for the next few months.

I do have a little bit more details on these events, but I am absolutely slammed at work right now and I’m waiting on some final confirmations, but I didn’t wanna leave everyone hanging as soon as I have more. I will post it.

As most of you know from the posts in the past and the ones being shared today, Sunday was the Rolife 9th Anniversary Celebration Event at the American Dream Mall Flagship Store in Secaucus, NJ

It was an amazing event with about 150 people in attendance from communities all over the internet/world, press and influencers.

The company talked about their journey, their focus on community, their vision for the future, and if you look closely at the linked pictures, showed us some new upcoming products.

There were speakers (of which i was one), a panel, a craft demo, some awards, and a private shopping experience where our members got to pick out the product of their choice!

Then, after all of that, all of the members of the r/booknooks community got together for a personal meetup where we swapped some kits, gave one away, shared some food and drink, and generally had a great time! thanks u/beau-squish for your help in planning this.

We are planning to have another in person meetup soon.

I really can't say how amazing it was to meet you all!

As i said in my speech many times (im still 50/50 on posting it, I think I did a MEH job) this is THE BEST community on the internet.

Many other people came up to me during the day saying they were lurkers here and all had great things to say about this place.

To them, I say....LURK NO MORE... we are thrilled you are here.

I confirmed with ANAVRIN last night that they will chose their winners for CATSCROSSINGJULY over the weekend. You have until tomorrow night to post your best image of your build if you haven't already.

Guys, Gals, and Book Nook Pals This is my double unboxing of the two new JooHour TV dioramas based on scenes from the horror classics "It" and "Saw"

NOTE: the name is pronounced Jo like Joke and Hour as in the time

Y'all, as a fan of the little city TV builds, this is like their older, more sophisticated cousin. These two kits utilize so many new techniques and types of pieces that impressed me tremendously.

Horror and specifically pop culture horror is a lesser represented theme in our hobby and these Nook make a memorable impression.

You can really tell the love and passion for the craft that went into the design and construction of this kit from all the details, down to including the markers you use for edge painting and the paints you should mix to get the right colors.

Sorry i haven't been able to comment on everyone's posts, between prepping for the Rolife anniversary and a bicycle accident that sent me to the ER (Wear a helmet, saved my life) ive been a bit busy.

But rest assured, ive been reading everyone's posts

So here are the winners for the Tonecheer event

There were some people that registered but never made posts or commented on the megathread so they lost out to other people.

Please ensure that you are doing the required activities to qualify (exceptions can always be made in extreme circumstances provided you contact me ahead of time.)

The MiniCity event megathread will go up in the next week, I should have the winner info for the Anavrin event in the next 48 hours and I confirmed the Fifijoy event will be starting in the next week to 10 days so stay tuned.

Here are parts five, six, six.5 (wiring) and seven of the third series of Pluck Builds "Wisdom Rings"

This was inspired by a member of the community who lost their parent. When their parent died, this building was in progress and they reached out to me with a little bit of help in finishing it on your loved one. I was so inspired that I decided to take mine out of my back log and build it.

Part five covers the assembly of one side bookcase and the central shelving unit for the top floor. You can really start to feel the repetitiveness of this build at this point.

Part six covers the assembly of the second top side bookcase and assembly of the top floor. Plus some custom greenery and more of the lighting You can really start to feel the repetitiveness of this build at this point.

Part 6.5 covers the custom wiring in of this kit including wiring in a physical switch in place of the touch sensor.

Part seven covers the final assembly of the book nook.

Here is part one - four of the third series of pluck builds Wisdoms covering steps one through 18

Section ONE covers mostly the set up and prep and building the base of the unit. You’ll notice when I build the bookshelf that this kid has a lot of repetition on it. I’ll get into my final thoughts at the end but mostly straightforward build here with only a couple of minor modifications.

Section TWO covers the second bookshelf, a tree themed book shelf, a table, a desk and a chair.

Lost two pieces here (by design flaw and my carelessness) but that led to some customizations that otherwise wouldn't have happened.

The scene of this book nook is a stellar observatory in a Gothic castle.

their new slogan miniature architecture stories writ large is very appropriate here as this kit is yet another shining example of how MiniCity excels with architectural design.

the celestial motif along with the Striking visuals of the turret are only outshined ( pun intended) by the mechanical gear work of the 24-hour clock which is the feature of the inner and outer right face of the build. now, mini City kits are not previously known for their movement... so I Am interested to see how this comes out in the final build.

Unsurprisingly ... another beautiful offering from this manufacturer and I appreciate their subtle use of different LED colors in the same Spectrum

Book Nook from Viendor ( formerly Book Nook Global)

This book nook set In the Philippines is a blend of the Cities Manila and D’Mall Boracay. so while it isn't a perfect replication of one specific location in the Philippines it brings in different elements of two of the more popular destinations.

This is parts One, two and three of the second entry in the new “Pluck Builds” series

This time we are building “Magic Platform” by Tonecheer

This is Tonecheer’s whimsical take on Platform 9 and 3/4 which is a common theme in Book Nooks

Part 1 of this series covers steps 1-4 and shows setting up for the build as well as building the main train engine.

Part 2 covers steps 5-7 has us building a bench and waiting platform, the turret on the top of the tower, and the caboose

Part 3 covers steps 8-15 and has us building the main structure of the station itself.
