Native American?

Hello friends! I recently bought this 14k gold and turquoise ring, and I’m wondering if it’s Native American.

I have a ton of Navajo/Zuni/Hopi sterling silver & turquoise jewelry, all of which is either stamped/signed by the artist or very early, explaining the lack of a maker’s mark. This piece does not appear to be “early”, given what I know about the techniques used on more primitive, pre-signed work.

My best guess is that the signature was somewhere along the shank, which appears to have been adjusted (probably to be sized smaller) at some point. But if that was the case, what jeweler would just outright remove it, rather than work around it?

Anyway, if any of you can tell me about this ring—the age, the origin, the maker, anything—I will be eternally grateful! Thanks for taking a look.

Turquoise?

Hi all! I bought a bag of stones that were originally strung on a necklace. I believe these are turquoise (they pass the at-home tests) but am looking for confirmation. Are all of these stones turquoise? Added 3 individual close-ups. Thanks so much for taking a look 🩵

JJ 14k Gold Watch - Thoughts?

Hi, all! Looking for some thoughts on this 14k gold Jules Jurgensen Slimline with the 14k gold mesh band. I like the aesthetic aspects of the watch, but don’t know much about it beyond what I see on the surface. I’d wear it often (the best type of ‘investment’) for multiple occasions, both casual and formal. Would love to hear some opinions on the watch you see in the pics. Thanks!

Great Grandmother’s Watch

Hello all! I am currently visiting my hometown and am digging through some old jewelry and other smalls that have been locked away collecting dust for decades. I’ve stumbled upon this Vulcain watch and I have a few questions! I’ve included as many pictures as possible but please let me know if I should look for anything else. Any help would be very appreciated.

  1. Is this band/case gold? I don’t see any 10k, 14k, or 18k stamps anywhere, but it is stamped “Italy” on the clasp (pic included). It doesn’t look tarnished, and it’s quite heavy. It is difficult for my grandmother to get to a jeweler to test it (which I will do for her if needed) so I’m just looking to understand if there’s any other signs that we could identify at home.

  2. Is this a replacement case-back? There’s no branding, it’s not a color match, there’s nothing on the inside… just not sure if it’s original to the watch!

  3. Should I look to separate the bracelet from the case? The two have been melted together, but I have another watch that could work greatly with the band! If it’s worth it to have a jeweler detach them (meaning this isn’t secretly obscenely valuable) I could also do that.

Just some fun facts for you all about it:

  • It still runs! I wound it a few times very delicately, and just like that… it started ticking! It has sat unused for 30ish years. Amazing!
  • This was my great grandmother’s daily watch in the 80s and maybe earlier (according to her daughter).
  • I had to pick a lock to open this box! Not intentionally, the key has just been lost somewhere/sometime in between the 90’s and now, lol!

Again, any help would be appreciated. I love it no matter what- just want to learn more about what it actually is. Thanks! ❤️
