i’m going to preface all of this with the fact that i’ve been playing life sims since sims 2, i’ve played sims 3 and sims 4 and a bunch of the random spin offs.
for me, it feels hard to compare the sims, inzoi, and paralives because they each have their pros and cons. i’m going to outline what i like about each of them, but when it comes to the sims, im strictly talking about sims 4.
tldr: modded sims 4 for gameplay, paralives for building (gameplay is lacking), inzoi is a good mix of both but still underdeveloped
the sims
of all three games, the sims 4 has the best gameplay BUT for me, the gameplay is very expanded due to mods. i’m not sure if i would have this opinion if i was playing with a vanilla sims 4 base game. that being said, i think the sims still has the best system for interacting with other characters in the game. both paralives and inzoi feel a bit too limited in this category, but inzoi is better than paralives. compared to the other two games, sims is limited in building when it comes to architecture, but because of the copious amount of cc, i think they are best for getting a variety of styles when trying to build. paralives has a lot of customization options that i enjoy, but if you struggle with creativity, it can be difficult to make something exciting and different.
inzoi
i think this game has great potential, but its kinda just middle tier for me at the moment. i would put paralives building over the sims, but i still think inzoi has better building than the sims. there is a way bigger learning curve with building in inzoi if you are used to the sims, but once you figure it out, you can do a lot. when it comes to gameplay, i would also put sims 4 (with mods) above inzoi, but i would put inzoi over paralives in terms of gameplay. based on what’s available now, i truly believe that once inzoi has many more features, it will outperform the sims. while i do enjoy gameplay of inzoi, there are limitations. for example, the criminal system is not fleshed out and younger zois have limited gameplay. i wish this game didnt use so much ai, but the sims does too and its very hard to avoid these days. i also wish this game was more accessible to those playing on gaming laptops.
paralives
this game is the holy grail for building if that is what you’re looking for. the customization options are endless. every day, i still learn about things that can be done while building and i’ve spent over 30 hours in the game. that being said, i do think live mode is lacking. i like the card system of interactions, but it still feels too limited. i also saw another person say that it’s too easy to succeed in this game and i agree. i wish the nightly cards gave a possibility for a negative thing to happen the next day. if anyone reading this is questioning whether they should purchase the game now or wait, i think it depends on what you’re looking to get out of the game. if you’re looking to build, buy it now. if you’re looking for gameplay, wait.
i know mods exist for both inzoi and paralives and i haven’t really gotten into them yet. this post is not to bash on any of the games. i enjoy all three of them and i will continue to play all three. i am excited to see where all three franchises head in the future. i am interested to hear what everyone else thinks!

at first i thought it was because the en suite toilet is closer to the hall bathroom sink (barring any walls) but after they used the en suite sink to wash their hands, i was confused lol
i’m not really bothered because they’re so close and honestly it just shows how silly some of the coding is in this game.
**I JUST FINISHED SEASON THREE SO NO SPOILERS BEYOND THAT POINT**
In season two when they rob the mega church, J cuts his leg in the air duct. Obviously he would leave some blood behind. How were they not caught for that? Did I miss a detail or something? I know J’s DNA wouldn’t be in the database, but they would have Pope’s DNA so couldn’t they tell that there’s a relation?
i recently went to pick up a party pack of twisted tea and it seems they’ve released their “summer pack” with the bomb pop flavor. this years pack is different because it now replaces the peach flavor with a new lemonade flavor. has anyone tried or can anyone explain how this is any different than the half and half flavor? twisted tea is my favorite drink but i don’t like lemonade and the peach is my favorite flavor. i hate that they don’t sell regular party packs during the summer because i also miss the raspberry flavor.
