Hello -

Existing member for 14yrs, bought all our points resale except for 25 to be a blue card member.

I’m looking to get a couple more points (150)?for an extra trip. Thinking these would be used a bit more spontaneous/opportunistic trips vs our standard annual trip.

Is RIV the wrong way to go then? I would only buy resale. Looking at availability it is pretty hit/miss at all room levels.

I can’t tell if the pain of finding a room is real or not that big of a deal. We love the resort and would be happy staying there consistently…but not sure worth it if you have to use the points there and there isn’t availability?

Just a heads up for folks that have stairs, need to move games by themselves, are concerned about the weight or won’t fit in their SUV (looking at you Acura MDX and RDX).

Just remove the head!

It cuts 70lbs and makes the cabinet WAY less awkward. It’s just 5 wires to remove; tuck the harness into the cabinet. Then remove the glass and take off the 2 bolts on the inside/back. Be mindful there is a plastic washer between the hinge and the cabinet on newer Sterns.

I’ve done this with JJPs, American Pinball and about 20 Sterns. I’ve also done it with my TZ and TSPP which I might not suggest for older games. Might not want to do it with Spooky either…

It takes exactly an extra 5.3 minutes to do and my preferred method for stairs or moving a game myself.
