Taco Bell NW 13th St?
Seems like it's been closed for a few days now? Any idea why? I'm not seeing any major violations or anything.

tl;dr version: check out Belong Festival on 11/15 at First Magnitude, it's like a club fair for local adults. Meet people into the same hobbies and interests as you. And PLEASE if you're part of a local group representing a hobby, please consider signing up to host a booth.
=====
WeBelong is a local nonprofit with the goal of encouraging local community by helping people connect with others with similar interests. A lot of people complain about how difficult it can be to make new friends as an adult, and they want to help with that. I don't work or volunteer with them or anything, but I appreciate what they're doing and want to help get the word out.
It seems their primary focus are semiannual events they call Belong Festival hosted at First Magnitude Brewery. The first one was back in April and I participated on behalf of the board gaming group that I'm a part of, Gainesville Gamers. It's just $20 for a booth and for a few hours we had dozens of people come by asking us about modern board gaming and tangent things, all while people were drinking and dining and dancing to live music. There were tables for groups into arts and crafts, a table of people into LARPing, and this and that. It was a good time.
My one gripe and secondary reason for wanting to post: That having been the first Belong Festival, and with not too many people being aware of it, maybe only half of the booths actually were local groups representing hobbies/etc. The other half of the booths turned out to be local organizations trying to recruit, drive memberships, increase subscriptions, gain donors, etc. As much as I love some of the organizations that were present, their presence felt antithetical to what the event was supposed to be about, imo. So, to repeat myself, PLEASE if you're part of a local group representing a hobby, please consider signing up to host a booth.
And if you're interested in exploring modern board gaming, Gainesville Gamers' next big public event is on 9/19 at the Reitz Union from 12-close, but I'll make a post specifically about it as the date approaches.
- Reitz Union food court, across from Starbucks
- Not limited to students though
- Noon until close
- Bring your own or there will be plenty there

Gainesville Gamers hosts board gaming at the Reitz Union the third Saturday of each month. Similar to how we reschedule in the event of a home game during football season (due to on-campus parking being impossible), due to the concert at the stadium this weekend, we're rescheduling our event from 5/16 to 5/23.
All other info remains accurate:
Gainesville Gamers will be doing our monthly all-day gaming thing this Saturday, 5/16
