Pokemon Ruby Berries Not Growing, Playing on DS Only, I Do Not Understand Battery Glitch :(

Sorry guys, I have been trying to look into my issue, but I am 25 hours into a Pokemon Ruby playthough (GBA cartridge in a DS Lite) and none of my berries are growing. I know that there is an in game clock glitch which effects berry growth timers and that, but I don't know what I can do about it on only DS. Does anyone have any pointers on what I can do?
