I see people saying on here stuff like “don’t do that to your child” in regard to this name but i reallyyyy like it. Is it really that bad? It seems like the closest feminine equivalent to Julian/Julien
( i pronounce julienne almost identically, juli-en instead of juli-in.)
Yes im aware it’s a certain way to cut vegetables but is that really such a big deal? 😭 I assume the term came from someone with the given name too? It just seems like such a nit-picky nonissue.

I think it’s such a beautiful name but will people think it’s odd due to the vegetable association?

i (20F) am changing my name and these are the last contenders! my gripe with each name is as follows:

1. Gwen - my middle name is lyn ( and i’m not really trying to change that) and my last name will be one syllable as well. all together it sounds a bit choppy. gwen lyn also just looks like it’s missing the “do” in the middle lol. gwen is probably my favorite of the names though.

2. Jules - i have a slight lisp so the s at the end sounds a bit funny and im not so confident saying it.

3. Cora - i like it with lyn, and it’s my moms favorite of the names. However, my last name will be one syllable and start with a K so it sounds very “hard”

4. Willa - flows very nice with my middle and last name, but i am worried about its recent popularity and that people will immediately know i changed it instead of assuming i was born with it lol.

i’m just looking for an outside perspective to help me figure out what to go with :) i’m really open to any suggestions/ commentary lol !!

okay so some background, i’ve been wanting to change my name for a verryyyy long time now, but i’ve really struggled finding/picking something that feels comfortable and right. I’m changing my first name due to its connection to my estranged father but my middle name is lyn, which represents my wonderful mother. I would feel pretty comfortable with it as a first name but I am slightly worried that it will be seen as a name akin to the trend of adding -lyn to the end of names. ex. lakelynn, brinlyn, icelynn. which i am personally not going for.
anyways i’m just wondering peoples opinion on the name/different spellings of it :-) The way it currently is spelled is lyn but if the others seem better please lmk!!

also if you think any middle names sound good with lyn please toss em my way :) im having a hard time finding a good flowing one especially because the last name is also 1 syllable.

im changing my name due to personal preference (some family stuff + its a gibberish name people have a hard time pronouncing) so i’ve finally narrowed it down to my last few contenders for a new name and i just want some outside input on what people think of these names/the vibe they get from them :) i would like it to match all of my siblings names, which have what i would call “vintage autumn” vibe if that makes sense lols😭 im open to more suggestions if you think it matches the vibe but i’m pretty set on these :)
