Estranged family – how do I protect myself in CA?

Hey everyone, I just posted over in r/legal about needing some advice, but I'd love to hear from people here who actually get it. I'm in California, completely no-contact with my biological family, and I want to make sure my parents or anyone else from that side can never make medical decisions for me or get my info. Has anyone done this, and do you have any tips or advice? Especially with dealing with narcissists and keeping them out of your business?

Estranged Family - Advance Directive. Location: CA, USA

Hi everyone. I am a 27-year-old living in California, and I am completely no-contact with all biological family. I need to get this sorted as soon as possible. While I know about free legal aid, the wait times are generally too long, and since I'm in between jobs with limited funds, I am looking for advice on how to file an Advance Directive by myself to properly exclude them, and how I can set it up properly to be legally binding in California.

Looking for a Genuine Shaman or Lightworker in the Fresno/Central Valley Area

Hi! I am looking for recommendations for a genuine shaman, lightworker, spiritual healer, or grief guide in the Fresno/Central Valley area.

I'm currently working through grief and am looking for someone who does authentic spiritual healing work. I'm not looking for social media influencers, people selling expensive courses, or anyone who feels performative or superficial. I'm hoping to find someone who is grounded, experienced, compassionate, and truly dedicated to helping people heal.

I'm especially interested in practitioners who work with grief, ancestral healing, ceremony, soul retrieval, energy healing, spiritual counseling, or similar traditions.

If you've personally worked with someone who had a meaningful impact on your healing journey, I'd love to hear about them. Personal experiences are much more helpful than Google searches.

Thank you. 🙏
