From a Shia background. I’m very short, very skinny, very pale and have an androgynous style that, like the rest, is not everyone’s cup of tea. Looking for a serious long-term relationship with someone very left of centre aged 30+. Open to marriage but opposed to rushing things.

I’m interested in everything connected with words - languages, literature, linguistics - and tend to connect with those who have a background in the humanities or social sciences and/or an interest in contemporary art and culture. I’m very visually oriented and one of my greatest pleasures while travelling is to locate the perfect bar, not for the alcohol but to admire the chairs, the lighting, the playlist, even the tiles in the bathroom. I am looking for someone who can partake in this appreciation and who also loves animals enough to bend down and pet every other passing street cat.

I do not want children (although I always pack little gifts for them before a flight), do not plan to remain living in the region for long and do not care too much about your family background. No height requirement, although I do appreciate a difference in width. Ambition is nice but I prefer confidence, humility and the courage to disregard norms that you would prefer to dismantle. I find it more honest to describe myself as a dumbass with minimal DIY aptitude than intelligent, and I like anyone who lists their shortcomings before their strengths. I do not expect men to pay my bill. We can split, we can alternate, we can hijack a cruise ship. The opportunities for equality are endless.
