Newel Post Light Fixture

I think the flair could have also been "electrical" or " advice needed" but "what style" seems appropriate as well.

I have never seen anything like this light before. We just moved into a 1919 Craftsman & we have this amazing light on the stairs.

Does anyone have any information or experience with something like this? A source for different style lights fitting the period? Or strong opinions on preserving it as-is?

Bluegrass shows and venues?

I’m "new in town" looking to dive a bit deeper into the live music scene around here, specifically for bluegrass and traditional string band music. I'd love to know where the best spots are to catch a good show.

In search of realtor recs...

Hi everyone! My spouse and I are relocating to the Capital Region this summer and need a fantastic local realtor. We have two big, non-negotiable criteria:

  • Communication is a MAJOR priority. Our last experience was a masterclass in how not to communicate. We need an agent who is highly responsive, proactive, and values total clarity. No radio silence, no guessing games.
  • We want a woman-owned agency or female-led team. We are moving our own woman-owned, artisanal business to the area and want to support another local, woman-owned business right out of the gate.

Ideally, we need someone who knows the local market inside and out, understands properties with workshop/studio potential, and operates with absolute integrity.

If you’ve worked with someone who fits this vibe, please drop a comment or send a DM.
