I applied online and got the VFS Seattle office. It's been 'under process' status for a long time. Do they expect under the table like India to complete the process?

There's been so much hype recently on the fcnr deposits. And supposedly it's'repatriable'. Has anyone tried to get back their money from India before? How easy or difficult is it and what is the process?

Folks, my aging HP Envy 15t k100 laptop from a previous life is running absolutely stunning on KUbuntu 26.04

But is there any advantage I can gain by installing ChromeOSFlex over Kubuntu?

My primary usage of this device currently is for applying for jobs on LinkedIn, so some light editing documents (resume). I also do some very light programming in antigravity (it has new 16GB ram DDR3) ram. But that's it. I don't watch videos or listen to music since the laptop is very old.

I maybe getting a new laptop but I want to maybe turn this into something useful when I do my programming on another laptop. So is there any advantage I can get using chromeos over the Kubuntu that it currently has?

Lately all i can read in the news from anywhere in India are something like 17 year old <insert muslim name> pretended to be a hindu and raped a minor hindu girl or xyz muslim gang raped hindu children. Part of it is algorithm feeding me this in a loop. Part of it my worry about raising hindu girl children in india. How do other hindu parents with young children educate their children about their religion without actually creating a hatred in them about that religion. While i don't want to create hatred, i would like to educate my children on their targetting tactics, religious conversion goals where they have some weird rule that if they convert this many girls, they will get heaven with some vigins and alchol or some other fantasy. I want to make sure my children report attempts at grooming regardless of religion (i know christians are less agressive in trying to convert hindu women but they do it too) so how do we protect our children and raise them in our religion without creating hatred?
