Let people alight from the ISB first

ffs just let people come out of the bus first. if it’s filled to the brim how tf are you gonna go in? especially at stops like UTown or KR MRT, the bus is going to become mostly empty since almost everyone is alighting.

you got into NUS presumably because you’re smart. use that brain when commuting as well please.

i’ve noticed it’s mostly china students not letting people alight first. someone please post this on XHS or some other china social media pls.

EG2401A Tutorial allocation

On internship rn and applied for EG2401A tut through the email they sent out. Email said first come first serve, when the allocation came out, clearly not first come first serve. Another intern in the same work team as me applied a few days after me for the same slot as me, and he got the slot and not me.

What’s the point in saying first come first served when they’re not gonna honour it? Just remove it from the email.

Is there anything I can do about it besides appeal?

New user discount is not a discount

Just signed up and bought something with the new user discount. On the order page, the final amount was prominently displayed in Yen, with my local currency smaller in brackets. As such, I presumed that I would be charged in Yen.

When I submitted the order, I was shocked to find that I was charged in my local currency. Buyee applied their own exchange rate which was basically equivalent to the 10% coupon for new users. I paid using a card that I only had foreign currency on. So by charging me in my local currency, I essentially paid a double fee. Luckily I managed to cancel my order and use my normal card to pay instead.

A bit of research later and I come to find out that Buyee forces the conversion; allowing me to only pay in USD or my local currency. It seems that this was hidden in the fine print somewhere.
