I own a Tata Nexon since 5 years and with run of over 25,000 km. Last year I faced an engine overheating issue once, and now again this year I got overheating warning along with sludge/oily contamination forming in coolant reservoir.
Tata service center has quoted the following:
Radiator – ₹10,500
Coolant bottle – ₹4,000
All hose pipes – ₹13,000
Thermostat valve – ₹4,500
Thermostat pipe – ₹1,000
Oil cooler – ₹4,500
Oil cooler ring – ₹1,000
Labour for coolant/oil mixing flushing & repair – ₹17,000
Total comes around ₹55k–60k.
I want to know from experienced owners/mechanics:
Are these charges reasonable or inflated?
Anyone else faced repeated overheating + sludge issue in Nexon?
Should I get second opinion from independent garage?
Would appreciate honest advice before approving repair work.
